yeah, they were trying to simulate a certain number of hours at a casino poker table; i think it was something like 30 hours they said, i cant quite recall

university study shows poker is a skill game
Two guys at Case Western Reserve University completed a study of ~1000 hands with a control group and a treatment group. The treatment group was given basic strategy materials, and both groups played the same amount of hands against computer software. Both groups posted losing sessions, but the treatment group significantly outperformed the control group after instructional materials were introduced. Interesting stuff, hopefully the fact that academics are getting involved now will only help out.

I think he's playing great, and he's not putting himself in many positions to make huge decisions if he checks behind on scary boards when he *could* be beat. If the flush hits and he has a straight and it's checked to him, he'll check -- the players he;s up against are plenty capable of making moves and pushing Jamie off of hands. He just doesn't want to bother with it, imo He's not a Daniel Negreanu or a Doyle Brunson, so why bother to put yourself in awkward spots against players that are widely regarded as better'

I pitch this 95% of the time even if you might be ahead; you're only beating AQ AJ and T9, really, but I think more often than not he shows up with a set or 2 pair here

UB Problem
Anyone else having problems with UB right now' I have a ton of money stuck in there and I can't login. Says "Invalid Account," so I'm freaking out a little bit. Logged in a few hours ago, played a few hours ago, even spoke with UB support a few hours ago. Am I alone'
