I have a great deal of passion for the game and am always pushing myself to learn more. I really enjoy advising, it is a win win for me. Here is my latest ...

Re:Bankroll Builders on FTP!!!? ...Help
You people are unbelievable. I've done nothing wrong to anybody. I've always been willing to go far out of my way to help people get off their feet. I used to think the poker community was a friendly place full of intelligent, well mannered people. These replies have proven me wrong. Not one person even asked about any of the details to any thing i said in my original post. regardless of whether or not you think what i have to say is ridiculous, it is still common courtesy to gather all the data for a polite, respectful rebottle. In defense to my statement about multi-accounting, ...

I have a large amount of integrity and i enjoy helping people. I am not understanding all the rude responses.

P.S. despite ft's multiple account rules i am guilty of playing under different names. i am currently on this sn for my project to turn $20 into $10k. Re:Bankroll Builders on FTP!!!? ...Help
$3 ko's are not the only answer. There is obviously much more to successfully building a bankroll. And that information is worth money. there are different options as to how you may pay. I am very picky about my students. If i continue mentoring you, I guarantee you micro stakes success.

Re:Instacall even though i am pretty sure i'm beat????
Before entering a pot in such a situation, taking into consideration the stack sizes of the remaining players left behind you is critical. Four of the remaining players in this particular hand had half- your stack meaning you could have gotten away with raising little enough to commit them while leaving yourself equity to fold. As for the player who limped in front, a call by him (and/or the BB) out of position may have given you an opportunity to exploit their looseness on or after the flop given you have position and a decent hand. I think a standard 2.5xbb raise in this situation, ...

I need help!
I am a solid low stakes MTT player. I have been playing for years, however, never really took poker seriously until recent months. About three weeks ago me and one of my friends teamed up and begun a project to turn $20 into $10K . We peaked at 1,300 and have been heading downward since. My problem is this: Although my partner and I have equally contributed to the increase in our roll, lately I have been having unusually poor results. (To the EXTREME. And Lately referring to the past week or so) I am usually very consistent so this has me scratching my head. Should I consider rethinking my ...

Re:% of hands to play?
The answer to this question is very situational. There is a huge list of factors that should be considered. Some of the most important include: What type of player you are' Are you in a cash game or tournament' Is it 9 handed or six handed' Turbo' Double Stack' are your opponents loose or tight' A good player can instantly, efficiently and effectively switch gears going from somewere in the range of 20-30% of hands played down as low as 5-15% and vis versa. In my oppinion, choosing how many pots to play should ride largely on how much and well your oppenents are playing. A good player can ...

Re:Anyone play low PP and suited connectors profitably?
You have to understand that different hands and styles of play are going to be more or less effective for each individual player. Your personality plays a huge roll in what style might work best for you. You should not be looking so much at what everyone else is doing and think more along the lines of what will work for you. If you dont profit off those hands, dont play them. Maybe you need a little more experience with the game before you get too crafty. Dom

Re:Making a play in the SB
obviously this situation should have never even occured. Folding preflop is undesputably the correct move here. To avoid your biggest problem, playing too tight, try getting into pots with playable hands in position. You mentioned this tourny was the daily dollar in which you are given 3k starting chips. Jump in with marginal hands in position. Maintain leverage and pot control through consistent small-medium size bets. You'l be suprized at how quick your stack can grow with out ever having to be all-in. And when you are all in, you'l likely have the nuts. Hope this brief word ...
