Spreading unsubstantiated rumors about site shutdown No idea what any of this means, but you mentioned URL or link... I assume this means you read one of the thousands of articles on the web discussing Juicy and Lock not paying players and the possibility of them eventually closing and stiffing players. This is nothing new and has been discussed at length. Anyone who knows how to use google would not deposit on either of these sites. Posted in: Poker Sites |

Buy In For WSOP Main Event vs. $10,000 in Powerball If that math is true, then 175million/10,000 = 17,500. In other words your chances of winning the powerball, given you purchased 10,000 tickets, is 1 in 17,500. If the top 8 places in the main event pay $1m+ and there are 7,000 entrants, then your probability of winning $1m+ (without accounting for skill) would be 1 in 875 It is worth noting that the powerball would pay much more than $1m though. So lets say it paid $100m (500m chopped 5 ways) now it would actually be a better long term investment to go with powerball as you would be winning, on average, $1m for every 175 times you ... Article: Full Tilt Claims Administrator: We Haven't Received Any Updated Information Strangely enough Stars actually paid back FTP ROW customers immediately after the settlement. Not sure why the US customers have this special process requiring a 3rd party and an absurd amount of additional time. Surely the government will benefit from this inconsistency somehow... withholding a certain amount for taxes maybe' Posted in: vBCms Comments |

Hellmuth's statement regarding UB in light of the recent tapes How about an explanation of where the $55million of player funds went' I mean its a sad story and all and I'm sure we all feel real bad that Phil got lied to (lol) but we never actually got an explanation from anyone about where all of the player funds went.... Article: Players React to Recorded UB Meeting Involving Russ Hamilton "It's not taking the ultra high road. It's not saying we're not going to do anything. It's something in between, but the point is they're interested in coming up with reasonable arguments to minimize it. That’s a big part of what Iovation is doing right now." God I hope Iovation pays for this in the biggest possible way. They have become a massive company since then. Posted in: vBCms Comments |

Players Union? hahaha The purpose, at least in my mind, would be to hire private investigators and a law firm to sue the individuals responsible for cutting and running with the money. In some cases when a site goes under its due to things outside of the owners control, but in most cases it involves the owners siphoning player funds out of the company over a period of time. When this happens you should be able to "pierce the corporate veil" and go after the individuals. The process is grueling and expensive. But for example if we had 50k to hire PI's and a law firm there would be numerous people being sued on ... Posted in: Poker Community |

Players Union? hahaha This actually isn't the worst idea in the world. When sites run with funds it costs a lot of money to hire private investigators and law firms... Sure a law firm may take a case on contingency, but you need well organized evidence that individual players are just not able to fund. We have learned that the PPA has no intention of going after these sites as they direct most of their resources towards legislation. Having some sort of group fund that could be used for disaster scenarios might come in handy some day. If 500 players who make money online gave $100 over the course of a few years, ...
