What I miss about FTP.......
Miss their make a deal software. I only ever used it once but the fact that players could haggle out a deal w/o having to wait for support to get there while everyone blinded down was awesome. Miss their schedule the most, they had so many $5-$20 buyins w/o guarantees, the fields were so soft and small (2-300) easily the easiest mtts out there. FTOPS, mFTOPS, the 50/50 the $26s, midnight madness (such a frustrating mtt lol) I mainly only played there and obv regret it now but have a lot of good memories there. Hit my 1st 5 figure score there. Also gotta remember variance imo not as bad as it ...

The Real Annie Duke
If FTP ever comes back to US and they are under completely new owndership (and this is something I would be willing to spend quite a bit of time researching, if they are in fact 100% new) I wouldnt have a problem playing there again

what is the longest session you have ever played?
I used to do 18-20 hour sessions every sunday when I had a private backing/coaching deal, could tell they were opening my eyes up to a lot of stuff I wasnt seeing, so I'd start actually wake up earlier on sunday than I did during the week to go to work. Id start at 6am and register for everything up to midnight....mondays were usually pretty brutal lol

Times they are a changin' What can't you do in 2012
When I was 6/7 years old I remember my dad taking me to the park that had a fort/slide that was literally 30+ feet high, was the fucking bomb. You had to climb up 4 different ladders on the way up and had bridges on each story to go to another slide that wasnt as high...they took it down and put in a swingset and merry go round with that soft rubber tire shit about 5 years ago, I was looking forward to taking my kids there some day

So a guy just claimed he was gonna commit suicide in the chatbox...
Guess its just part of the attitude I got from my short prison stint. I watch my back and the next guy watches his, why look out for him if he aint looking out for me' If I see a minor car accident will I pull over for em and be a witness' No...why- do I know theyd do the same for me' No I dont so I probably wouldnt stop. Theres good people out there no doubt, but seeing some guy in chat saying hes gonna kill himself is just gonna get a mute from me. I dont know you and to me it would just look like an attention whoring/feel sorry for me thing...mute takes care of it

Poker Tracker's/HUD are you for or against them?
Ive used one for about 2 years, and honestly, I completely ignore the numbers in quite a few diff situations. Sure, I've got 5,000 hands on this guy, but how many were from rebuy mtts, early/mid/late game' The number definitely help just as far as showing how aggressive someone is in late position or how often they fold to 3/4 bets, but really, it cost $100 3 years ago, and thats right about what its worth. No ones going to win a mtt using only HUD numbers

MTT your first win?
About 2 years for my first real win, won I think 2500 or so on bodog back in the day. Takes quite a bit of learning and especially now more than ever, (not trying to be an asshole) and your probably going to lose a lot of money before you actually start to fully start grasping things as a whole just because theres so many aspects to it. Shorthanded play, bubble play, FT play, heads up play etc....

Pro's and Con's of working playing part time vs Playing full time
I thought about quitting my job multiple times, and would have loved to do it, but never had the real life roll I needed to do so. You need minimum 6 months living expenses in the bank+ the roll you need online to play the stakes you plan on. I tried my hardest and was really just 1 5 figure score away from it happening before BF, but I guess now Im thankful it did happen before I quit obviously

We haven't had a well in a while, so I'm offering
Most memorable hand during an online mtt' Do you have a few that stick out, like winning a huge flip with 11 left and go on to win, or any sick reads you had that made you call off with 2nd/3rd pair for a decent sized pot'

What is the longest amount of time you've spent in 1 single online mtt' Also I've always wondered what the beginning stages seem to be when you and another reg start leveling eachother ie- say you 5bet jam on a AAX flop w KQ....obv very situational but always wanted to know if I'm getting someplace at the tables

Did I spend too much time playing poker? *Long*
This part is very true, but remember I dont have the real life roll yet to play poker full time and still be able to sustain the sometimes monthlong downswings. The bolded was where I wanted to get to, because once I finally succeeded my life could have been MUCH more balanced. W/o enough money in the bank to quit my job tho, obv had no choice but to continue playing hoping to hit big enough to quit my irl job. Until that happened I couldnt quit, and I was never able to....hence the unbalanced life

Did I spend too much time playing poker? *Long*
I really kinda wanna get this out there just to give noobs something to mull over before they take the plunge of playing poker all day/ night. I've realized more and more recently just how much time I've spent over the last 4 years playing poker, and now that poker is gone, I'm also starting to see just how much it may have impacted my life. I certainly cant say it had a negative impact, but even with the money, I cant say it had a tremendously GOOD impact on my life either. I started playing poker when I was 19 just out of high school in 2005 (held behind a year because of my hearing for ...

Heads up strategy against call stations
Position position position....dont call a lot of hands pre OOP. I generally like to flat OOP with suited connectors and suited one gappers (depending on how aggressive he is w the button) and try to get a feel to how they react to 3bets early, so 3bet quite a few hands you want to play early as well to get that feel for them. Also, I generally stick to the minraise in HU mtts, regardless of my hand, theres no sense in starting to build a bigger pot than necessary preflop, just minraise everything- 56hh AK AA it doesnt matter....idk from experience over time I've just only gone with the ...
