i am crying - wpt aruba
I am not one to start posts, and I am sure this has been covered a bunch, but I am just watching the Aruba WPT from this year, and Josh Schlein is ridiculous, holy crap, this guy is my hero. I'm only 50 minutes in, but he is just embarassing this table (and it's hard to outdo how bad a few ppl embarassed themselves, imo. I mean the girl), wow. This guy is retardedly good, I know he is doublelucky or sdouble on here, which is it' Maaan so good, just embarassing people. Here is the one time I have watched him, from another post I made: Was just at a WSOP ds table and 3 handed, dabest247 had a decent but not insurmountable chip lead, and he says "i'm goign out for a smoke" (this is like 5-10 minutes after a break just ended!) and sits out. One guy busts another, so it's heads up, with dabest247 still sitting out. Other guy understandably blinds him off for like 15 hands and then he comes back finally. Who does this''' Oh yeah, and then when he came back he bluffed off all his chips like the 2nd hand back and lost.

I have never been able to uninstall Ubuddy properly on any computer I own (gave up on UB, but have reinstalled it a few times to rail pals doing well in tourneys). I haven't run into the computer not loading up (err, but haven't rebooted in ages), but I wouldn't put it past being a Ultimate buddy issue. My problem has been, I try to uninstall it, but it stays in the "add/remove programs" list, and then just gives me errors about files being missing when I try to remove it" any more times.

Watch this year's WSOP where he donked off a huge chip lead in some event to go out early, and then watch his HORRIBLE, and I mean absolutely AWFUL commentary on any episode of Ultimate Poker Challenge, and you will go from "that guy seems good" (my thoughts while watching that stud table too) to "holy god that guy is annoying"

Yeah, I don't remember (but don't doubt) him looking condescending, but I remember one thing: He looked like a dooooonnnnnnnnnkey. I love when he made some retarded play with K2 then walked over to Gus Hansen and was shrugging like "nothing I could do right'" or whatever and Gus just looked like he didn't want to be associated with him, and definitely wasn't doing the old "yeah oh well what can you do" shrug back.

There is a huge difference between JJ and 33. JJ has a TON of hands killed preflop. 33 has NO hands killed preflop except 22 and hands involving a 2 or 3, ie. a tiny few. You are also basing this on results, KNOWING he didn't have 44, 55, or any other pair. Long-term, calling with 33 there is gonna be -EV, cause your best result is a coinflip and there are lots of hands you are a huge dog to who are going to push there. Just cause the guy is going to push with any face card doesn't mean he CAN'T be dealt a pair. Also the cards aren't the whole issue here, the guy who called with 33 called ...

Mickey Appleman made one of the sweetest all-in pushes I have seen televised in a hand where he had nothing, there was a jack on the flop, a ton of people saw the flop, one guy bet, another called, and Mickey just pushed without even a draw I think. One of those spots I would never even try to bluff, but he obv. had a perfect read of the situation and players, made everyone fold better hands immediately.

Since Sheets has posted on this, I am very curious to hear what his impression of this actual hand is. Personally I think the push is good and the call is horrible. Weird how if Sheets reinforces what I say I'm a bit more likely to sign up for PXF, whereas if he disagrees with me, I might feel less into it even though that would mean I have more to learn, you know' Anyhow on this hand, considering the situation, I think calling off that much with a possible coin flip is horrible. I like the check. Your hand is strong enough that if he makes a big raise at this point, you have a big decision. I don't think you can put him on A5 or A2, but who knows, he could be trapping already with a hand ahead of yours and waiting to really lay the hammer on the river. I think a bet here is not AWFUL either, but you have one pair, and if he was chasing a gutshot and missed, he's not going to pay you anyway, the only hand you can value bet here is AQ, maybe AT, maybe Ax if he's really bad.

Well, there ARE a lot of ghost-writing things, maybe you just don't know of all of them. Super System 2 has ghostwritten bits (Adam Schonfeld wrote the chapter on umm.. PLO I think'), I read that Erik Lindgren's book was pretty much ghostwritten (but who knows), etc. I mean, yeah, some poker players can write, but he didn't make that up completely.
