Re:Why aren't you moving to Florida? You are right. The games are soft. However, do the math.....Florida has a 10% rake plus $1 comes out of each pot for a bad beat jackpot or royal flush promo. Therefore, for a $45 pot the rake is $6. Florida has $100 max buy in. Playing $5/$10 NL becomes a Degen's game till you can build a stack and play normal NL strategies. A pocket fiver in 1/2 NL should have a sick win rate of 15BB per 100 hands over a large sample. At 30 hands per hour your hourly rate is about $10. 2/5 NL the play is alot better. 4 or 5 players are skilled, therefore the win rate will go down to 6 to 7 BB per 100 ... Re:Fort Myers area Poker players LOL, at getting your ass handed to you at the dog track. 1/2 and 2/5 NL plays like 1cent 2 cent online. The 5/10 games are crazy any pocket fiver should crush at the dog track. PM me, I'll give you the scoop. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Florida poker The games are soft here in Florida. I just came back from the $550 Naples Fort Myers Dog track tornament (cashed , yea). They are having a $330 buy in next month. All poker rooms are good. Tampa, Sarasota, Immokalee, Miami, and the dog and horse tracks, you can't go wrong. The only problem is that for cash games you can only buy in for $100 so if you play 2/5 or 5/10 people tend to gamble it up to get a stack. The 1/2 is actually a great game it plays like a 1 cent 2 cent game on stars Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:standard sng break even stretch? It's common. However, it dosent have to happen for such a long stretch at this level. You should still reevaluate your game. Are you playing more hands' Are you using position to your advantage during low and mid blind play' Are you punishing high blind limpers' You know what to do ....get back to basics. You should know you Nash Equilibrium chart like a blackjack player knows the blackjack chart. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:who will accept durrs million dollar HU challenge?? And will they win? My guess would be that Durr will have about a $40 equity edge on every hand. The opponent will not matter, he has this edge versus the best. He will be up $2,000,000 at the end of 50,000 hands. Plus, of course, the $500,000 side bet. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Durrr's 5 mill The sickest part is that 5 million is only 25 buy ins at the level he plays at now. His game of choice is the 500-1000 PLO with a 200K buy in. I've had plenty of months where i've had 15 buy in swings and I only play live cash games (1 table). Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Hand from today's 50k freeroll 1450 started 170 left and I have about an average chip stack short stack shoves obviously ATC , with a M of 3 the player to my right shoves over 22BB and I have JJ I feel like I have the best hand . Limits just went up and players have to start to make moves. My thought process was the large stack wanted to Isolate the short stack because he was shoving with any 2. I limited his range from 77 to 10 10 or a big ace . Most of the time I fold 1010,JJ, to an all in and a shove. They don't play well in multi way pots. Thoughts value tornament life or look to almost triple ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Fold this river? 5.50 MTT Call, he's not giving the BB credit for a hand. You played it well IMO. You kept the pot small as best you can being out of position and making this call won't cripple your stack. I would'nt 3bet pre flop, you don't want to play a big pot out of position without a big hand. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Pocket 10s deep in tornament and facing a reraise I have no reads on this player. It's his first hand at the table. I open 3x BB to 6000 he reraises to 18444 now I'm debating 3 bet all in or fold. Then I decide to shove, I think his screen name (hefoldedlol) produced the desired result for him. ....great screen name ...it got me... I wanted to make him fold. It's easy not to give the largest stack in the tornament credit for a big hand. Large pocket pairs only show up about 1 in every 4 orbits at a full table. I figured it was his first hand at the table and he wanted to make a statement. If I called his reraise (I think that ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
