World's quietest place, 99.99% sound absorbent
my college had a room similar, it was for testing studio monitors. Part of it was set up so that there was absolutely no echo's which actually made it really hard to talk to someone even 2 feet away from you. Your voice just got lost it was really strange. I know personally when I am in a room that is too quite my ears start to ring really loudly. Probably has something to do with how loud i listen to music. I wouldnt last 10 minutes in a totally quiet room alone edit: just looked at the actual link. Ours looked exactly the same, it is really fascinating being in one of these rooms. Imagine ...

What are you giving up for Lent?
for most people who "give up things" for lent it won't be permanent and right after or even midway through they are back on said thing. but, for a few people who for example give up smoking who wouldn't have if not for lent then who cares even if 1 person quits because of it i'd say its worth it.

im sure its a +cEV call but i gotta figure it depends a lot on how passive/scared the other guys are and how many spots you are even getting to shove. I would hate to be guaranteed to be all in and possibly out when i can just keep being the shover into weaker players. i wouldnt say ICM is the reason you fold but that you have potential better/lower variance spots that you can choose instead.

iOS5 update not working
the servers are ridiculously busy atm, thats the reason for the error. I guess they bit off more than they can chew (standard for apple). Just give it a day or 2 and it should work fine.

Found 2 baby squirrels
weird... just found two in my room too (they were in the walls making lots of noise). my mom paid some rando guys to come catch them... that shit's expensive. also there was a squirrel trapped at my moms work in their ceiling. squirrels are taking over everyone be prepared thats whats gonna take us out in 2012

An update to my guitar playing (new video)
Here's a song some of you may have heard that I decided to do a pure acoustic interpretation of (aka no singing), and it is based off the song "Her Morning Elegance" by Oren Lavie. The original song can be found here (the video is awesome too btw): Another reason I'm posting this is just how long it took me to finish, so it feels good to finally be done and to be able to share it. A little run through of the process it took to get this done: 1) figure out a tuning on the guitar that makes every part of the song playable. This part was tricky but the initial 3 notes that start 10 seconds ...

Any Sudoku experts out there? (need help: Pic included)
Just started to learn Sudoku while bored in vegas and got the iphone app for it (which is awesome btw). Found mediums to be too easy so moved up to hard but got stuck and am pretty tilted that i cant figure out the next move without guessing. I've tried researching different strategies but can't seem to apply and of the normal ones to this and alot of the harder strategies are hurting my head at the moment. If anyone wants to take a look and tell me not just what the next move is but why I'd much appreciate it. Yes I've been looking at it for over 4 hours usually while grinding ...
