What is the +/- EV of this move?
The original raiser is not bet/folding here. There's a good chance ur ace is dead. Unless you have some crazy read I hate this play.

No it is not good for me. Unfortunately we live in the US and I don't see many better options (ACR maybe). Therefore, I was looking for a more elaborate response to "they're bad" or "they're terrible" with some sensible reasoning. Silly me...

I don't play on Intertops but from everything I've read they seperated themselves from Cake/Juicy. They're checks seem to come in about a week and they have 36% rakeback. 200% initial depo bonus. Not sure about the touney traffice but from a cash game perspective they have about 6tables of 50-100nl running during peak hours. Care to elaborate more on why not to play there' Bc I'm debating throwing some cash on there...

What would you do with this evidence?
Are there actual numbers to prove this' Also, if it really was a small part of their revenue, why are they going to such measures to keep professionals away'

What would you do with this evidence?
I think we can agree Bovada is flourishing in this environment due to the changes they have made. They have done everything to turn away professionals (anonymous players, no wait lists, 4 table max,no data mining etc) These numbers are arbitrary but lets say they have 100 mid-high stakes cash players cashing out 90% of the money. It completely goes against what they're trying to do in terms of liquidity. How is this good for business'

What would you do with this evidence?
Thread def should NOT have been moved and its pretty bush league it was. Not a single person was complaining about bad beats or even said a site was rigged. Me and bwalz were speculating on how it may be profitable for a site to do so. Bovada has taken every step possible to discourage professionals, so why not this' AJ, to answer ur question I have no proof and none of us would or will until its too late. Id argue that long term success is not in their business plan and short term success would trump that with the US states slowly legalizing. For Bovada specifically id even argue there's ...

Right or wrong, conspiracy or not, I think we have to take into account that it may or may not be in a sites best interest to increase their bottom line in this unregulated environment by any means possible.

What would you do with this evidence?
/ I read this a few months back and there's some screen shots and data in this one. This is what originally sparked my conspiracy theory thoughts on the anonymous site I've been playing on for the past 10 years. My story is similar to the guy in this threads on the other site. I would normally say that I'm not as good as I used to be and I need to study, review hh's, etc; the only problem is that I swear to god the players on the other site are seriously the worst I've seen in my 10 years of playing online poker. Even pre black friday, I know they are the worst. I have zero proof I just ...

What would you do with this evidence?
Thats just the thing it will ALWAYS be mathematically possible to run soooo bad, so it always comes down to ohh ur just running bad and its variance. Why would a site want 1% of its poker players withdrawing 90% of other players money'

Talking about poker in job interviews
Well thats not entirely accurate. I had a legitimate business. I lied about nothing. I would NEVER mention poker in a job interview b/c in my field and 95% of fields unless you knew somebody you would never get a job trying to explain what you did for 5 years and how poker relates to heathcare, finance, teaching, etc. I'm not even sure how a resume with nothing but 5 years of poker playing would even get you close to an interview' But these were just my thougths at the time. Everybody has a different opinion. If I didn't have a business I would have either got a job, part time job, or ...

What would you do with this evidence?
I think its a very legitimate question. I was criticized on 2+2 for bringing it up. It makes total sense for a poker site to cap winning players. I have the same concerns myself. I'm winning but not nearly at the pace I always have. Its easy to say that I need to study, fix leaks, play more but I don't believe it. My main concern is that the players are honestly the worst that I've seen in my 10 years on the site. I've thought long and hard about this. You have numbers to even prove it but all anybody can do is say its variance b/c heaven for bid a site think about it.

Talking about poker in job interviews
I think people are talking about different types of job interviews here. The person I quoted was talking about interviewing candidates for a fortune 400 company. If that is the case and you're interviewing for a skilled position or some other corporate job you have to be a numskull to bring up poker. The 'odd circumstance' I was referring to would be an entry level trader in which some companies actually seek ex poker players b/c the job has similar facets. Or if the interviewer is really cool and has poker chips sitting on his desk and you can bring it up in conversation. I thought long ...

Merge Deposit and Cashouts
Any time a teller looks at the check and sees its international, theres times they research the company and the bank its drawn on. They will then call the bank and the bank will say the company doesn't exist. Obv then bells go off and they say its fraud and won't cash it. This is usually when they say okay we'll send it to collections and theres no timeframe and it will cost X amoutn of dollars.

Talking about poker in job interviews
Agreed. I know this is a hypothetical question but some moron in college is going to read this and think they can put poker on their resume and talk about it in job interviews and how it correlates to the real world which is total nonsense. I really do believe it correlates in many ways but theres a time place, not in interviews unless its some odd circumstances.

Realistic Winnings
I think its pretty common for a good player to turn a couple hundred into thousands within weeks. I play a more TAG approach but I rarely lose more than 10 buy ins in a row so depositing 300 and working my way up stakes very quickly isn't uncommon.

HUGE Live $1-2 Game in Vegas - Hand w/ AA
I'm such a nit. I would have threw up folded to the only competant player @ the table. I just don't see the rationale of him pushing 350BB w complete air into the only decent player. Nice call.

1/2 NLHE cash question. How can I improve this hand?
I rarely say this but I think you played it perfectly. 4betting pre is way to strong and he would've folded. You can make an argument for raising the flop bet but then you lose value from 1010,JJ,AK(ONly hand that would pay you off is AQ). 1010-QQ is a big part of his range so leading turn puts you in a horrible spot if he raises you. Then when he checks turn back you know you're ahead and value bet river. I'm assuming he had AQ or 1010.

Article: Shared Poker Liquidity Between Nevada and Delaware Imminent
Ahhh I I wouldn't say that. NJ is doing it now and CA has speculated that it may not even want to partner with other states bc they feel they can run successfully by themselves bc their population is so large. From a poker players perspective it sounds great, all states share liquidity pools and implement some kinda of weighted revenue sharing strategy and everybodys happy. From a state perspective NJ could give 2 shits about the 14 cash game players that Delaware and Nevada bring to the table. Maybe things have changed in the last 6 months bc I haven't been keeping as close a tab on ...

Article: Shared Poker Liquidity Between Nevada and Delaware Imminent
Bovada is 1 week and the player pool isn't even comparable btw them and NJ. Are the states headed in the right direction' Yes. But this thing is gonna take @ least 5 yrs imo b4 NJ would potentially, if ever, share a player pool w other states that compares to the couple sites we can play on now w much better traffic. Hell, dickhead Adelson is trying to ruin the years of hard work and regulation they've already accomplished.

Article: Shared Poker Liquidity Between Nevada and Delaware Imminent
To be honest, until 10-20 states are on board and its a shared liquidity pool I don't want any part of this crap. I'd rather play on the black market and I have a feeling alot of Nevada, Delaware, and NJ folks would love to be playing on such sites but they can't any longer. Its gonna take years and years and years imo before this is even worth it.

Transitioning to cash for a year to compare tournament grind too cash grind.
I cringe as I write this bc I'm running the worst I ever have in my life. But for me cash has been and always will be the way to go. As far as sites I can't give u much info as I'm from the US. I like ur plan of taking a month off to study. I don't know your bankroll or personal situation but I wouldn't play much lower thank 50nl as the rake will eat away your profits. Cash games are a whole new game tho. You actually have to know how to play poker post flop as compared to shoving all in on the reg. You need to know how to play deepstakced poker. The harsh reality is it takes one ...
