Article: From Poker to Daily Fantasy Sports with Brian Hastings
I was making easy reference to your post which drew startling similarities btw mtt poker and tournament dfs.But since you're in such need for 5 I'll give you a few more:1.) Bankroll Management2.) Game Selection3.) Variance4.) Winning dfs players and poker players will both have spreadsheets with their ROI, #of games played, cashes, etc etc5.) Both have a skill level and mathematical advantage to being a winning player that takes studying, time, and preparation. Is that enough'

Article: From Poker to Daily Fantasy Sports with Brian Hastings
Everything you are stating resembles the life of a MTT poker player 1.) Put in tons of volume (100's of tournaments a week) 2.) Most lose money 3.) Its a lottery Thank you for proving my point. P.S. I play poker and DFS as well.

No similarities' That's an idiotic statement. I can think of 5 off the top of my head. And how exactly would comparing similarities between poker and DFS which has a legalized carveout hurt onlines pokers chances of legalization. I hope I'm getting leveled bc that whole post is laughable...

Live 5-5 at Commerce question about a hand
I dunno what I'm reading really. The villain donks half pot into pre raiser, calls a big raise, then bets $350 into $250' I mean without any other reads on the villain this is a simple fold unless you like burning money.

Bovada Deposits and Cashouts
Last time I didn't run like hell and cashed out via wire it took about 2 weeks. The fees end up being ~$200 total. I'd only do it consistently if ur winning 20k+ month b/c checks r much cheaper and quicker.

Do you have any “in-hand thinking procedures”?
1.) Why am I playing this garbage hand 2.) I'm such a donkey there's no way I'll pull this bluff off 3.) 3 bet me 1 more time and I'll push any 2 4.) How am I gonna explain to my wife I need to buy another mouse b/c I got coolered again 5.) Fk me, Western Union is closed and the bank is declining my CC

jj in live 2-5 cash
Ahhhh I pretty much agree with your analysis. Its a difficult hand when it goes 4 ways after your raise. It checks to you and lets say you c bet the $65-70. I'm putting one of the early position guys on a 67,78,89 type of hand. They may even have a club combo draw, set, etc etc. So what are you going to do when you c-bet and are check raised to $150' I think thats our biggest concern. B/c depending on the players I sure as hell don't want to play for stacks on that flop. Checking behind also leaves you very vulnerable with an underrepresented hand. There are sooo many bad turn ...

Hosting a home game (showing Hole Cards)
It varies from casino to casino. Some may kill the hand while others will let it play on. In a home game I think its silly to kill the action. Your more 'experienced' players would be stupid to enforce this b/c the fish will never come back. Here's more info: /

$1/$2 cash game hand against an older gentleman
Am I the only one who thinks flatting this flop was good' I think its a good discussion. OP didn't give any reads but lets assume they are all avg skill level live players. UTG +1 raises $10 pre and we have 6 callers. Flop Jc10c9c. Lets just assume we have the nuts with the flush. Utg +1 now c bets $20 into $63 with MP calling and you to act. $20 into $63 screams weak to me, maybe AJ or AK one club. You have a call from middle position which also screams weakness, maybe QJ w/ Q of clubs, etc. Now its on us with 2 callers in position with SB left to act. Theres no assurance the SB continues ...

Insta call. If ur somehow beat re-load. Id put him on kq,set,2pair,Aclubs/combo str or pair. In that order. I also like ur flat on the flop. It causes people to spaz out on the turn like he did. U can also minimize loses with unfavorable turn card.

Do you use a HUD while playing?
I tried it once using a free 30 day trial and absolutely hated it. Like a poster said I was second guessing myself. I'm a cash game player that plays 4 tables on Bovada. I'm a good note taker and constantly pay attention. The only reason to use a HUD imo is if you are not paying attention or playing to many tables to keep track of. I'm kind of a weirdo and don't like too much data and would rather go on instinct. I don't even like going to forums as much anymore b/c I think it hurts my poker psyche w/ all the garbage that goes around.

Aiming to achieve a weekly income from poker?
There's multiple things you need before you can even attempt this: 1.) 6-8 months of living expenses in the bank 2.) Years of prior experience proving you're a winner @ the games and stakes you're playing 3.) Razor sharp discipline. Being able to control tilt, bankroll management, etc. 4.) My biggest obstacle that I think is downplayed and often forgotten. You have to be so mentally strong as an online poker player. Its just you and the computer screeen 40-60 hrs/week. No human interaction besides forums and if u have poker friends. Very few people who can actually relate to what ...

Article: Three US Senators Send Letter to DOJ Supporting Bill Banning Online Gambling
I used to get super pissed when he made news with throwing all his money around. I really don't anymore. I don't think he has a leg or wheelchair to stand on. Even with his billions, times are a changing. What's gonna happen when he's gone in a few years' Is his money going to continue to pay off senators for the crusade vs online gaming' No. I'm normally a pessimist, but there's no way they shut down 3 states that have jumped through all these hoops to legalize everything. Way 2 many reasons this doesn't make sense. Even if somehow they do pass his dumb bill the black market of offshore ...

Folding AA on flop. So tough to do.
It is a terrible fold the second you raise him you have to call and All in. He has 40bb to start the hand. Once you raise, its $10 more for you to call to win an $80 pot if I'm reading this right' Thats really bad. If he had 100bb's its a different story, but as played thats bad. We don't even have to talk about how wide his range can be being only 40 bb's deep.

Deciding whether or not to fire a third barrel - live 1/2
1. I like the way you played the hand. I'm fine with your bet sizing as well. 2. Player dependent. I'm mostly only checking the turn if its an aggro w/ the capability of check raising me which would effectively put us all in with only 30%ish equity. 3. The river check is fine. I initially put him on weak king or mid pair 77-1010, all of which beat you. You're most likely getting called from all of these with a river bet. 4. The only river cards I possibly triple barrel bluff are A or Q.

Bovada Deposits and Cashouts
People many times have the common misperception that their individual situation should change an entire business model that has been successful for 20+ years. Does Bovada have their issues like any other site operating in a gray area' Absolutley. Id have to say that they are top notch @ the moment in the US with # of tables, payouts, etc and it isn't even close. I have no evidence to back it up but I'd guess many people having issues with checks are not in the best standing with their bank. Some1 that continously overdraws their account and only has $47.34 in their checking account is ...

Bovada Deposits and Cashouts
Well, ur the first person I've heard of suggest this b/c most people don't cash out their whole bankroll when they cashout. So there is no loss of rake and there are no payment problems at the moment. People do what you are trying to do successfully thousands of times a day. I'm still trying to follow what you're saying. What I'm gathering here is that you want Bodog to have a special department that answers phones acting as 100's of thousands of fake businesses and lie to the banks when they call about their business operations' If so, good luck with that....
