Re(2): Karam vs Little: crazy gambling? Re(1): Karam vs Little: crazy gambling' by Stupor_Mundi on 10/30/2007 22:08 size information would make it a little more standard. Marc Karam moves all in for almost 400,000. Seat 8 and Clements fold, and Little makes the call. Karam shows , and Little tables . The door card is the , and the rest of the flop falls . Karam needs to spike a set or make a runner runner straight to stay alive. The turn is the and only a jack can save Karam. The river is the , and Karam is eliminated in 25th for $48,633 CAD. Based on the highlighted information we can safely assume the Karam had 400Kish and ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): EPT or College??? You basically go to college so you can have the potential to make millions over the next 20-30 years and live a comfortable retirement. Assuming you don't suck at poker (and even if you do, it's a few donkaments, anyone can win), you have the potential to make close to a million in a few months, risk free. I always laugh at people that say you need to go to college straight out of high school. If you have the desire to learn, college's aren't going anywhere. In your case, your looks will fade, your ability to travel across the world will fade, poker won't be as soft in the future, and ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Re(4): For those on NE nuts I think it's reasonable to assume that the teams that have played NE have a lower ranked D because they played NE, NE isn't winning games because they are playing crappy D's. You absolutely cannot make a decent argument for why any team in the NFL is better than Little England, they just have too much talent, their talent is too damn talented, their coaches are too damn smart, they have too many game-breakers on offense and defense, and they have a man named Thomas Jefferson Brady. Re(4): Channing Crowder shows why UF is known as the Harvard of the South That's pretty funny, but unless he's trying to get a job with Rand McNally WGAS if he can locate London on a map, or if he's ever heard of it' A lot of people confuse knowing random little pieces of information for intelligence. If we knew that that he had indeed learned about London and was even half-ass paying attention, we could make assumptions about his intelligence level. He can defiantely read the shit out of some complex blocking schemes though. For the record I'm not a UF fan or Miami fan, I just think it's funny when people assume someone's stupid because they didn't know something ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Re(2): Pro Players' Bankrolls Ivey probably has the biggest poker BR of all of them. Antonius and Daniel are probably close, Helmuth's poker BR is infinate I guess since he gets his buyins paid for by UB for tourneys and doesn't really play cash, so depending on how you look at it, Helmuth is 0 or a hell of a lot. As far as straight cash in the bank homey, who knows who cares' I'll speculate anyway, Helmuth has to be #1, Ivey, Daniel and Antonius are probably pretty close. Maybe Antonius is far back because he gets no endorsement dough from an online site, and maybe Ivey is on Helmuths level because he gets mad bank from ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

I did it last year after I lost my #1 pick (Shaun Alexander) for basically the enitre year and my 2nd best player (Donovan Mcnabb) for the end of the season and the playoffs. This is almost definately a joke, how can you even put odds to this' How would they take into account you competition' You could be playing 7 FFL rookies that pick their favorite players. edit: Also, I wouldn't worry about Brady or Manning not playing for the last couple weeks. Re(5): best player I'd say Phil Ivey meets everyones requirements for the greatest poker player of all time. He's basically the only live pro that's been able to win consistently in the biggest cash games online, his tourney game is sick, he plays all the games better than most, and he's made of money plus a huge degenerate gambler, almost the perfect recipe. Re(2): $5 rebuy on Stars, big stack last hand before break You can usually take overpairs out of his range based on his preflop limp into a multi-way pot. Basic logic would lead me to believe you are ahead of his range, what his range is I have no idea. Is he the kind of guy that ships 200+ BB's with top pair' Is he the kind of guy that ships 200+ BB's on a flop where he beats bottom 2 pair' This hand makes 0 sense, no great hand usually does this, no bluff usually does this, I have no clue. Re(4): What's your play here? (cash game) Well by large % of the time I don't mean 30%+, I think the villains making this play with a lot more than KcXc or QcXc. You really can't put an opponent on a better flush for the most part. The odds of them actually having it are extremely small in relation to them having top pair K/Qc, 2 pair or a set. Re(2): What's your play here? (cash game) heh' Calling is not bad at all, assuming we are bested by the better flush. How often do the nuts flushed shove this turn' Calling is a great way to keep the pot smaller when you think you are beat a large % of the time and can't get away from your hand. edit: also what dpottz said, you can't fold the turn if you called the flop, if he played that big of a hand that poorly I'll commend him and be happy when I float him with a marginal pair, you just got coolered if you lost, no biggie, at least it wasn't deep in a huge MTT. Re(2): What's your play here? (cash game) Call and take the cooler like a man, the turn shove isn't very consistent with the nuts here, despite the fact that the flop action is very consistent with the nuts or close to it. Occasionally you'll see a Q-T high flush shove here, but not any more often than you'll see an AxKc shove here, or any set or 2 pair, as well as a lot of TPMK's. Folding is probably not a good play.
