I understand what you're saying, but just b/c the guy is aggro it doesn't mean he's a monkey. I was watching OP play for about 45 minutes before this hand, and the guy seemed to be competent. He wasn't a monkey, just abusing the table as it was mostly very weak. That last range I assigned was to appease OP, my thinking is that his range is much tighter than that, something like 88+, AQs+AKo. I don't hate your shove either, I don't think there's many circumstance when getting it in preflop with AK against an aggressive opponent is "bad." However, I do think that there's situations where we don't need to high five the monitor and jam in all the chips preflop. There's nothing wrong with playing flops in position, especially in situations where stacks are pretty deep and the table is weak. With a top 10 stack, there was plenty of opportunity to easily build your stack and not take what was most likely a flip against one of the few stacks who could ...

I understand that there's so many questions about AK and the standard reply is to get it in somehow, but I feel like this is one of those situations where playing it differently might be advisable. This clearly could be a leak in my game though.

So clearly nobody thinks that flatting here is the right play, why is it such a bad option' I know that we want to play AK for value, and that if we flat and hit an A or K, we lose value from underpairs. 4bet/folding is obv awful, but I feel like we're totally ignoring the SB's range...it's like AK roar roar roar shove in all the chips. Yes it's an extremely strong hand, but when there's a situation like this where we're pretty deep stacked deep in a tournament, why the rush to just shove in 60ish BB's'

I decided to boot up my FT for the first time in years and was watching your table for awhile. I agree that the SB had been pretty aggressive, and you had been pretty active yourself. You did open raise from the button, but as you said the BB was very short, so you had to have a hand, and I think that the villain should have realized this too. That being said, it's a very tough spot, as you have a very nice stack at this stage in the tourney and you seemed to be picking up chips pretty easily. No matter how it's worded somebody is going to be pissed off, so why not just make the commercial as vague as possible to avoid pissing off the largest group of people. I would say that most people who consider themselves "Christians" wouldn't notice or even care if "Happy Holidays" was used instead of "Merry Christmas." It's not like Christmas is a religous holiday for 75% of this country anyways.

I'm not trying to hate because Incubus is one of my favorite bands and I have seen them live multiple time, I just think that drive isn't one of their better works. I personally like most of the tracks off of Morning View much more, along with early stuff off of Fungus Amongus. I like how Incubus has such an eclectic variety of styles, but Drive is a bit on the slow, monotonous side for me.

I was in a wedding 2 weeks ago and the groomsman got all got engraved flasks, which is great if your groomsman are big drinkers and need a flask (eg. to smuggle in booze to sporting events and concerts, etc.) I was the bestman in this wedding and also got a watch, stainless steel from Relic which I think is pretty nice.

The people in this thread who are dissing on sandals are the same dochebags that are wearing the tight jean shorts and tennis shoes with socks that come up to their shins. Not only are sandals comfortable but they look a lot better than tennis shoes too, not only with shorts but jeans too. If it wasn't cold here for 5 months then I'd wear sandals all year round.

As someone said early, just because music is popular doesn't make it bad...more recently this seems to be the case but I don't think you can make this claim across the board. Seriously, this is a joke...the guy just did his job, it's not his fault that the team he was playing sucked. They haven't won a game in 4 years, so really it's great that they're playing but nobody should get all bent out of shape when they get crushed. It's not like he intentionally ran up the score, and just holding the ball is absurd, I'm sure his team his girls that don't play so he probably benched his starters pretty early. This reminds of the new attitude in society where we don't want to hurt anybody's feelings...everyone's a winner, ...
