Re(5): Why I believe online poker will be safe...
I dont know how you can say that Banks will not have enough financial interest to fight back against this....they already have been fighting back because it requires Billions of $'s in extra technology, manpower, and risk on their part. They are the ones that get hit if transfers go through, so of course they care about this. Plus they are already stretched really thin because they have to monitor things like money laundering and terrorists group contributions....so it will be very hard for them to add yet another huge task of looking at every transactions that passes through their computers.

Re(5): Urgent: A serious question in need of serious answers
Hey gonzorella, You may not be looking for my opinion being that I am only 22. However, I like to think that I am fairly insightful for my age and thus will try to add something worth while to this conversation. If you in fact do really "love" to play poker, then I would explain to her a few things. First of all, poker is a part of you, if you let it go, the person you are will change. It is like me and golf. I could never stop playing golf as it is a part of me and I just wouldnt be the same if I couldnt get out there occasionaly to play, and my girlfriend understands that. That being ...

Re(3): ATTN POKER INVESTORS - CRYPTOLOGIC
Wow, thanks a lot epicatc. I will be in a class this year which is an investment practice class. In this class we are given $300,000 of the school's endowment fund and are put into different groups (ie. growth, international, bonds, value, etc.) and have to do full valuations and present to the class which then votes on whether or not to purchase the proposal. So thank you for your response, you going through your thought process and such will help me in my plan of attack on trying to get some of my ideas approved. In addition, anyone who has any other investment ideas from the poker world ...

Re(1): ATTN POKER INVESTORS - CRYPTOLOGIC
Hey guys, what a great post. Not only poker all the time but something else of interest within the poker universe. Just a question, any of you guys who replied to this post work on Wall St. or for a financial investment firm' Just want to know what you guys are using in your analysis of Cryptologic's valuation. I'm a student at Santa Clara Univ. who is a Marketing and Finance major (haven't plunged into the Finance side too much yet, but will be this next school year) so any info/advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance to anyone who decides to respond to my ...

Re(4): hachem
Sure tipping would be nice, however, I heard a figure recently that the average dealer in vegas is raking in between $50-60k a year. That's more than 75% of the country. In addition, They were making thousands of dollars on just that one tournament, not to mention all the other tounraments that went on during that month and a half that the WSOP stretched. So they made plenty of money for that time period, i know I wouldn't be complaining if I made nearly $10k for the month for doing just my day job. Lastly, let's not make it seem like Hachem is a bad guy for not tipping thousands of dollars. ...

Re(4): stars 700k chop
Seriously DW, if you feel someone got screwed because of this chop, then why allow chops in the first place' The remaining players are the ones who have control over the remaining money. No one else has a say, if you busted, you got paid for your play, thats it. Its not like if I made it to the FT and busted 8th, and then the last six players decided to make a deal I'm gonna get pissed, thats the way it goes and had I still been in the tourney I would get to take advantafge of the deal. This is not Lee's fault either. He makes suggestions for how the money can be split every week, however, ...

Re(2): W$ on PS
Stay away from TradePoker. I have tried multiple times within the last few months to sell them both T$ and W$ and everytime I send the message they generate to support on PS, I get a return saying that the TradePoker account does not have sufficient funds for the trasnaction. So really your best bet is CashmanBrian's site or you can look up id "liveforfun" on PS, I know he buys and sells them just like CB does, maybe a different rate though. PHARLAP2 is currently also looking for huge amounts of W$, so that may be another alterantive. dpj222

One Complaint about this site!!
Hey everyone. I am fairly new to this site (been actively looking in for the past couple of months) and overall I really like this site. However, I do have one complaint. I guess it isn't really a complaint when you look at it, but more of a request. The Bloggers on this site (Sheets, elfleader, seal, Hogan, VIPdirect, etc.) simply do not update enough. I truely love reading their blogs, especially the ESPoker things Seal has going on, and Sheets' stories from his past with the likes of The Crew, and VIP's bankroll updates. However, it goes with days on end without a single update from any of ...

Re(3): WSOP - would you rather win it, or final table two years in a row?
How about the best of both worlds and pull a Raymer. Win it then come semi-close (but not too too close) the very next year. I think I would take that any day as he has already secured himself the title of one of the better tourney poker players out right now. Does this scenario work for your question MurphDog'
