Bodog Software up date.. Update 8:30pm EST I called support. They claimed they would have names back by tomorrow. I didn't press for total details. Update 8pm EST 12/1 Apparently last night I spoke with the 'Tell Them What They Want to Hear Department'. Tonight I spoke with the "Repeat the Company Line and Sound Really Awkward Doing So Department", which reported, that contrary to all their players' wishes, they will forge ahead with their 'groundbreaking' anonymous numerical system. Regulate Please, so we can get some real companies to offer their services. Posted in: Poker Sites |

Bodog 100k Guarantee -field size today? I don't play this tournament too often. A few weeks ago, it had just over 500 runners, for a nice overlay. Does anyone have an idea whether the traffic will light or heavy with the holiday weekend' Thanks! Posted in: Poker Sites |

Official Site to Site Transfer Thread Have up to $500 UB (Trains24) Need up to $500 PS (Dr. Trainor) or $300PS/$200FT (Trains24) OK I'd like to rebalance my bankroll a bit, and establish a little 'credit'. So I can do a few smallerl transactions to cover the limits above. There is no rush, just something I'd like to do over the next week, so anyone who needs a little on UB please PM me and we can work out the details. Thanks... Posted in: Poker Community |

Rockingham Park NH comments? I just heard their ad on WEEI and checked out the site. It says they spread 1/2, SNGs and tourneys. Any sort of commentary/review would be appreciated , I might check it out this weekend. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Foxwoods NL 1/2 Question...moving seats, tables I finally got down to Foxwoods to play in the game. It certainly was as advertised. Loose, many to the flop, big pots there for the taking with patience. There were a few good players at my table to be carefule of, but enough loose cannons and people who came by to drop $100 or $200 in fifteen minutes with A8 etc. to make it profitable. Second pair was played like a set on some hands. Anyway, I noticed a guy get a 1st seat change button and was wondering what that was. Basicially I'm hoping someone can quickly breakdown the rules about switching seats or tables. I'd like to be able to move ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): Who has the best S n G tourneys? I personally like UB and Full Tilt better than Pokerstars. I think Full Tilt is similar in structure, but with much worse competetion. UB is better because there are longer blind levels and more slowly raising. Pokerroom/Hollywood and Pokerstars regular SNGs feel like turbos to me compared to UB. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): One of the best hands in WPT History Yawning is not an act. It is the body's response to stress. A lot of people think when someone does it at the table they are acting. So if they are acting, they are acting disinterested, so they must have a strong hand. Not really true. I've seen it before, on the WPT. Haroumblas Volgaris (sorry for the misspelling) had the same thing happen. It typically means extreme stress/nervousness.....which I would associate with a strong bluff. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Removing "luck" from NL SNG/MTTs To paraphrase Phil Hellmuth after a bad beat...If it weren't for luck, I'd win everytime. Yes, its true, when you are the good/great player that YOU know you are then you take significantly more bad beats than the other guys, that's also why you win so often too. But you aren't winning enough. You read these posts, someone's making $1-2k a day, what are you up $60-70' Yeah you don't play the $200 buy in tourneys, but you play $20 sngs, $30 sngs, $10, $20 mtts all the time. Jeez, why am I not making $500 a week, easy, from these online idiots' Sometimes you do, but mostly its up a hundred ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): Considering quitting day job to play online poker F/T Flop said it all perfectly about setting yourself up to play....but the first guy might have put it even better.... "Don't quit your day job". One big problem that hasn't been mention but you alluded to is "If you do something you love, you don't work a day in your life." Well here's the problem. Most people love poker 10-20-30 hours a week. When you HAVE to get up in the AM and play, or are stuck $500 over the past few days, trust me, you aren't loving playing poker. Its called grinding for a reason. And there is nothing worse in the world than taking an enjoyable and perhaps profitable ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(6): 10-1 SNG's SNGs at UB you start with 1500 and blinds move every 10 minutes. I find that by 100/200 most of the time you are in the money or bubble. I dont have enough time at FT to give an accurate representation of the competetion, however my brief time there tells me that it is not as good as UB. Also 9 people per SNG vs. 10 at UB. I think UB draws slightly better players, because of their longer structure. That is why I play there and I like to think that most people would rather play someone else in a low limit SNG. Re(2): Question about AKdd on 2 diamond flop Both stacks above average, so you would have a nice chip stack if you win. We are assuming tourney because you mention stack vs. field. It is much better to play with a big chip stack or bust and move on than to try and nurse an average stack for 3-4 hours without cashing. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(4): Can someone explain why 50$ sngs on UB are worse than 30$? I am pretty new to Full Tilt and so far agree. Seems like you have some experience there. So why do you think its so soft' Constant TV advertising on poker shows' I also made a FT there in my first MTT, and I am not a MTT specialist in anyway. (pat pat) Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Question about AKdd on 2 diamond flop Does he tell you if one of his Qs is a diamond' Its a instant call in my book...at just about any stage, except some obvious bubble/ITM scenarios. You are going to need to win a coin flip sometime in a tourney, might as well be now. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(5): Things I hate about live poker Live can be a giant waste of time as far as profitablity goes, especially with a small sample. I find the lack of human interaction online makes me also feel like I am "wasting my time" A good mix is really the key.... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Can someone explain why 50$ sngs on UB are worse than 30$? thats good to know, because I've been literally laughing out loud at most of the players in the 10s at full tilt. Not a huge sample, so maybe I've been lucky. I think some might have to do with multitabling. Good players playing several lower buy ins simultaneously. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
