Re:tennis
Any male player in the top 1000 would beat any female pro damn near every single time. I have beat pro womens players inside the top 300 and I dont have a world ranking nor do I play professionally. The cannot serve for shit, they cannot volley at all, and they definitely have trouble hitting balls that bounce high with spin (basically the mens game is kryptonite for flat hitting slap shot womens tennis players.).

Re:Insurance people
Actually the company would prefer to sell a 10 year term policy. The mortality tables for 10 years from date of purchase heavily favor the insurance company.

Re:Insurance people
Life insurance is a serious purchase and there is no such thing as one size fits all. You need to answer these questions as a starting point: -Why do you want life insurance ' What are you protecting' -How much do you think you need' -Do your needs change over time' Usually over the course of 30 years your mortgage decreases, your income increases, and financial situations change. Kids go to college, people retire...these are important questions to answer. - Do you have any existing life insurance through your employer' Can you take it with you after leave' - How many dependents do you have' ...

Re:Geico, Progressive, ETC.
1) Youre right - I didnt mention anything about claims. But, if you would like to use anecdotal evidence to condemn the #1 P and C insurance company in the US then thats your choice. I could make a line of people who will swear against any insurance company due to the complexity of claims and the inherent bias people have towards there situation versus the perspective of the insurance company. Also, I do not work for State Farm. I work for a primary competitor in fact, and I still make these comments. 2) All companies offer more than the state minimum. However, good luck getting professional ...

Re:Geico, Progressive, ETC.
Its not true 100 percent of the time. Your credit may not be great, or you may want to have your State Farm policy re written using current tiering. Guys, almost everyone overpays for their insurance, trust me on that one. Make some phone calls, learn about the coverage. You get what you pay for with Geico/progressive. If you want an order taking, policy peddler by all means use them. If you want the right coverage (not the state mins) call an insurance professional from a BIG BOY insurance company like Liberty Mutual or State Farm. EDIT : State Farm uses annual rates (12 months) and many ...

Re:Geico, Progressive, ETC.
It all depends on your personal situation. State Farm is a preferred risk company. This means that they have GREAT rates for people who own home, are married, college educated..etc.. Geico and Progressives are substandard risk carriers meaning there underwriting and rate structure is most geared towards a young single driver with possibly some probelms (speeding tickets, poor credit, etc..) People who think geico is inherently less expensive than another company are ignoring the target market for each of these companies.

Re:How many of you would join the Military if..
I would join the Air Force and become a Combat Controller. On second thought, if we were under attack I may look into a special operations unit with a slightly lower train up time so I can get downrange quicker. Plus, I have great hair -- I think the SEALs are perfect. :) Edit: Alternatively, I would avoid joining the US Military. Feigning sympathy for the invading nation by "divulging secrets" to earn there trust while simultaneously plotting ways to bring down the invading force internally. Just when they are at a pivotal strategic point in their campaign against Americans, I ...

Re:Thoughts on Portland Oregon.
1) Not in Portland, look in outlying areas for a condo or townhouse. 2) For the most fun, check out NW portland or Pearl District or SE portland if you are into a more alternative scene. 3) Yes, they spread nl cash games @ spirit mountain. 4) There are homegames, and there are underground places. 5) People seem equally friendly in both places, tbh. In the metro areas (portland, salem and eugene) there are many liberals. In more rural areas, the people are more conservative. Portland is very liberal, fwiw.

Re:Thoughts on Portland Oregon.
Buying is normally a better investment, this is true. If you consider council crest (arguably the nicest neighborhood in Oregon) the ghetto, then yes. Im not sure if I just got really lucky or what, but there seemed to be many options like this available.

Re:Thoughts on Portland Oregon.
I have lived in both places. I currently live in Portland. It is entirely dependant on the person though. Ask some questions, and I will compare and contrast for you.... Oh, and there are card rooms in Portland, and casinos which run games are within 45-1hr drive. I love living here, but get used to being cold and wet.

Re(8): President Bush showing his true ignorance...AGAIN
Concepts like ethnocentricism and ignorance are not fact based. They are subjective beliefs. You are really adding more to your self described ignorant american image than you may know. Fact = More people move to America each year than leave. Opinion = Americans are ignorant See the difference'

Re(2): Refs`Salary
Big conference college refs get paid 500-1000 dollars per game. It can vary a little bit depending on whether or not its the playoffs. NBA refs make I think on average around 250k a year. All the refs get paid a per diem as well for traveling expenses.

Re(2): bodog check bounced on me WTF?
I just wanted to let people know that I called Bodog yesterday about the check I recieved that "bounced" They offered to deposit the money in my account with a ten percent bonus, or send out a new check immediately by courier at no charge. The woman I spoke with in customer service was extremely helpful and did everything she could to help me out. I think their resolution proves that they are a reputable company and do what they can to make things right.

I prefer 6 max to full ring. I dont play that loose but I notice at a FR table I tend to get impatient and start pushing the action a little too much. 6 max seems to be a little more exciting.
