80k UB Sniper hand from last night
Ya the problem with this line is that vs tough players, they're almost always gonna but you in an absolute sh it spot where you're completely guessing. You basically have no info at all here as to the strength of his hand except the overall reputation of his style. You are much better betting twice imo rather than c/c'ing twice vs a tough opponent. Your hand is way too face up here as a medium strength holding and therefore this river shove is going to be a complete guessing game as to whether he is value shoving you with your perceived face up hand or trying to fold out that hand.

1k super tues, overshove vs Dana Gordon
Fair enough. I mean that's why its a tough spot, because I know you put me on those hands, so its a matter if I'm getting leveled in to a call or leveled in to a fold. I like the bet either way. nhnh

1k super tues, overshove vs Dana Gordon
I really hate that river tho for completing straights and 2ps. Raising the flop is pretty bad imo unless you think you're getting 3 streets of value from a worse hand, which is very unlikely. He's obv gonna be somewhat balanced in these overshove spots, and this one is especially tricky because of missed draws and my hand is pretty tabled as 1 pair imo.

Spot from last night's FTP 150k
It is much better to have a 4b click back range here rather than a 4b shove range here imo. You can make his 57k 115k here with your nutted and air range (AT included in air range). Allows for much more maneuvering late while still handcuffing him with your nutted range for induces. Now time to level some regs.

I find it hard to believe that in game people are folding a set here. But it does look ALOT like we're beat.

simple preflop spot vs SCtrojans
lol this ^^ Everything else is going to be entirely dependent on game flow. You should have a balanced 4b range here. If he wants to 5b he's going to be 5balling in to the nuts often enough that it will be an absolute guessing game 5b with his non nutted range. But getting in to specifics about exactly what we're willing to 4b call here I think is a little too much for public forums. In fact, this thread has already become too detailed lol...

so i have recently turned 25...
Ya bukowski's post is all pretty good.... The other thing you need to consider is its not like if you weren't grinding tourns you'd have all the freedom in the world. You would be in some other type of standard job that is considerably more mundane, boring and repetitive. Its a pretty good way to make a good living , imo. Balance is huge as well. If you're grinding 12 hours a day 6 days a week I think you're doing it wrong. Tweak your schedule to play 4 days a week, one of the nights just the nightlys instead of all day. You'll have lots of time for friends and family and still enough ...

ya, IMO, folding pre or 4b'ing with a balanced air/nutted range is optimal.

simple preflop spot vs SCtrojans
But how can that be good then' We're c/f'ing everything we miss (his entire range wins), and we continue when we hit (his premium range stacks us or atleast gets a lot of chips, and his air range gives us one cont bet)....am i missing something here' Flatting OOP here seems awful to me., especially vs an opponent who's going to be balanced and tough post flop.

simple preflop spot vs SCtrojans
Ok so those saying flat.... On all random flops where we brick and he bets 30-60% pot like he will 100% of the time....we just c/f' I don't like flatting OOP at all here....and if we do, what's our OOP flatting range' Seems like villain will be able to narrow our range so much if we flat OOP and are so rarely gonna be nutted and always marginal

Do ppl still sleep on Bigdogpckt5s ?
LOL haven't looked through P5s forum in a while because its just all hate , and then I open this thread lol. If you never ever look like a donkey you're doing alot wrong. Obv seeing the few times he gets caught in spots and not the countless times he takes down a pot uncontested. If there's one thing I know about rising to the next level in poker, its to hate on everyone who's more successful than you lol

WSOP / live staking
Hey guys, I'm looking to get staked for live events primarily this year's WSOP. I wanted to post this early because of the nature of asking for staking deals. I have been a high stakes reg for years and have strong results. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction to people who stake successful online players for WSOP events. If you have any info or would like to discuss possible staking please PM me. Cheers, Drewfus81/STJEAN81

Re:river spot 100k 100r ft bubble
was just thinking, what do you think is more likely' him hero calling 78k in to 90k on river or him bluffing river when checked to him' I lean towards hero call....I think so many people give up on that river because your line appears to have so much showdown value, and looks so much like your plan is to check call any bet. edit: and by hero call I mean any call (ex. him pot controlling 10-10 etc)

Re:river spot 100k 100r ft bubble
also, I think planning to c/c flop and lead turn is horrible....as an audible in this particular hand tho I don't mind it because of how big an action killer the turn is...but the pre planned stop and go I think is a terrible line imo...
