How does this guy make these calls??!!! So I know that it's a $3.30 tourney, but how the hell does this guy make these calls preflop and on the flop. Sure it could look like I missed the flop, but how do you call with a gutshot and a flush draw possible on board' Full Tilt Poker Game #11446166465: $3 + $0.30 KO Sit & Go (85976569), Table 1 - 120/240 Ante 25 - No Limit Hold'em - 2:30:03 ET - 2009/04/01 Seat 1: phish__42 (17,285) Seat 2: Rockets115 (6,440) Seat 4: bchez03 (1,700) Seat 5: Dinkum_Flicka (10,010) Seat 6: cardcatcher6 (3,931) Seat 7: tootpic (5,950) Seat 8: Ston3yGMon3y (11,440) Seat 9: mrtcereal ... FTP and Mac OS 10.5 So I just got a new Mac Pro (which shipped with Leopard) and just sat down to play a bit on Full Tilt and noticed that the software seems really buggy. At first, while I could log in and see the lobby, I couldn't get any tables to open. After uninstalling FTP and trashing the prefs, I got the software somewhat functional, but it seems to crash randomly when doing things like checking the handhistory or the stats. I dug around on google and searched the board here, but haven't really seen much about FTP and Leopard. Have any other Mac users had experience with Full Tilt and Leopard' ... Re(1): ID check in casinos in vegas? I was in Vegas two years ago (26 at the time) and was carded at every table and bar I sat down at/in. I do look young, but everywhere I've been there seems to take the ID thing rather seriously. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Would you piggyback wireless internet? (looking for advice) Ummm... if you play 50 and 100NLHE, shouldn't you be able to pay the internet bill that costs as much as a blind' There's cheaper internet out there. I pay the $50 a month for cable, but I know there's less expensive DSL options out there if I was that strapped for $$$. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Pretty crazy hand I wasn't in the hand, but I've been seeing all kinds of crazy runner runner craziness going on all day at FTP. Re(1): Weird SNG on full tilt I just finished up one of those 4 person HU sngs on Full Tilt. In one stretch I had KK three times in five or six hands, sb folded to me on two of them. Later on in the same game, she doubled up through me with quads, two hands later I flopped quad 8s and took a good chunk of those chips back. Odd. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Small SnG meltdown, could I have played better? Ok, I get it. Jesus what is it with people on this board' I'm not complaining about a beat, I'm asking if I should have played this series of hands differently' I know that kings lose to pocket fives sometimes, I just want to know if people think I'm pushing all in too much preflop or not. Pretty simple really, but I guess people have more time to post links to the bad beat forum rather than just provide a bit of advice. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Small SnG meltdown, could I have played better? While I agree that the first hand with the kings qualifies as a bad beat, I was actually asking for comments/advice on the series of three hands. I'd hardly say that losing with AQ to 44 and 109s to AKs are bad beats. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): FTP on Mac I'm not having any issues with the last update. OS g4 powerbook. You might want to repair your permissions (which you should do anyway after any update or install) and if that doesn't work try trashing and reinstalling the software. If you have virtual pc you can download FTP on there and access the cashier. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

10s near bubble, could I have played this better? Full Tilt 90 person $5 SnG, five or six away from the money, I had been playing very tight for the past could of rounds. I picked up 1010 the hand before this one and shoved all in preflop when UTG raised 3xbb, I picked up the pot. Very next hand, I picked up 1010 again and strongly raised two limpers. One of them calls, flop comes rags (two hearts) so I push all in, the guy thought for a second and called. I couldn't believe that he called with KQ spades, then I got sick when his king hit the river. I asked him how he could make the call and he said that he was desperate for chips and ... Re(3): Odd SnG all in situation... Ok sorry I'm such an idiot. Jesus, this why I always shy away from asking for help on this board; everyone loves to point out how stupid everyone else is. Anyway, I ran it through a card calculator and with the hand as is I was a little over 50% to win. But as I said in my orig. post my read was that I was up against a flush draw and a set, in that case my straight would have been a slight underdog, I would have been 34% to win. That's why I considered the situation odd, I realized that I had the best hand, but figured that there was a very good chance that I would end up getting out drawed. ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Odd SnG all in situation... Just finished up an 18 player SnG on Full Tilt where I accumulated most of my chips on this hand. I'm not sure my push all in was completely correct, even though I had the best hand right there. I figured I was up against at least a set and a flush draw, I was only right about the flush draw. I haven't done the math, but I figure I was about a 50%–60% to win the hand after the flop so I know I had good odds. My question is: should I consider laying this down so early in a SnG, when I'm fairly certain that there's a good chance I'll get out drawn. I realize that it's only a $5 tourney, but I'm ... Re(7): Should I report this? In a SnG I was in last week the same thing happened to me, down to three players a guy was urged to call an all in, which greatly affected the chip count. I ultimately ended up winning the SnG, but still reported the guy anyway, mainly because he called me a "fag" when I told him he shouldn't try to influence a hand. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Should I report this? Yes, definitetly report it; the chat there is unethical and against Full Tilt's policy. I've been seeing this happen way more often recently. I reported a similar inccident on FTP the other day with a reccomendation that they should block chat during all-ins. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Did I play this wrong Hi, I'm fairly new around here, been playing for several years now, but have just recently started studying the game serriously. I've had some pretty decent success in SnGs recently, but I still suck at cash games. My biggest flaw right now is dealing with a situation I had last night (basically, trying to pick my spot and defend against a hyper-aggressive maniac). A little background on the table: For most of the tourney I had been playing very tight, picking my spots. I think the only hands I showed down was a pair of kings and a Q10s I got lucky with in the big blind flopping a flush. ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Sit N go Bubbles..PLEASE HELP I'm no expert either, but here's how I'd play those hands. In the first hand, while you're not in a great position with your chip stack, you're not desperate to make a move yet. With the jacks, I would have raised, probably to 600 or so hoping too win the pot. My guess is that he flat calls with AQo, unless he's really aggressive. This way you get to see the flop and more than likely push him out with an all in bet after you see a favorable board. In the second hand I really don't like pushing with 66 there. You have three bigger stacks to act behind you with the chip leader in the big ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
