Cash game Hand - AA deep and out of position Villain is like 55/25/3 i know people are going to say hes terrible, but he really wasnt soo bad. Like overly loose but he was hitting and winnning a ton, plays draws very aggressively. I've seen him limp a bunch, raise a bunch, seen him minraise 1010 in MP, and limp AQ utg then squeeze after a button raise and call from the bb. Re(1): 97% of poker players lose 3% win I have read posts on 2p2 where people have huge pt databases, and while this is specifically for cash, i remember it being something like 60% losers, 40% winners. These were databases logging thousands of players and millions of hands so its more accurate than the preconceived 90/10 assumption. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(4): ? for low stakes cash players i hear a lot of people say this but i dont think its so simple. if you play a 25/20 type game then bluffing is necessary in terms of cbetting missed flops in position, double barreling because people start to float you, etc in terms of nut peddling, i think you can get exploited really easily, and in addition, in terms of your development as a poker player, i think its better to actually learn the game so that when you do move up, you are a better player the lower stakes are really about value betting, that's the most important concept. number two i would say is hand selection, ... Hoss_TBF I'm watching this guy play the 200r and its just sick to watch. I know he's a big limit player but he's just incredibly aggressive in position and is using his stack really well. I would pay a lot to see his cards, and by a lot i mean relatively little Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): VERY difficult hand for me fairly deep in the 20r last night... i think a raise preflop is correct as your in position and his action to the raise gives you a lot more information on his hand range as opposed to calling, where you have no idea where you stand. I'm guessing you posted this hand because he showed up with some big pair. if you raise and he calls preflop, as a TAG, that sets big warning lights off in my head. definetley a tough spot, I'm not sure what the correct turn play is. Re(1): $10 NL Cash Advice i think because its so low, in absolute money terms, it makes more sense to play outside your roll at the lower levels so you can move up faster. i mean whats the lower level, 1c2c' i would play 5 10 with 10 buyins Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Interesting spot vs Apestyles SB BB in 100r whats your image' his 4 betting range is pretty dependent on whether or not he thinks you will get out of line, because i think he pretty capable of 4 betting light (from the little ive seen) disregarding that, i dont think a call is so bad in position. Re(1): Short Stacked Cash Game = Profitable? i think people can make a lot of money doing this. ive seen brandon adams sit short at 200/400, and i remember reading somewhere that successful shortstackers have some of the highest pt/100 over a large sample size. ive tried it out before, but i think a few things help. first obviously pick a table where the action is fast, people are playing a lot of pots, and then be ready to deal with the variance because it will be high. i think initially it will stunt your development in learning cash games but i def think it can be done profitably. definetley something to experiment with though Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): $1/2 NL heads up.....Advice for starting out??? your bankroll will probably need to be higher, maybe 30 and up. heads up cash is all about constant aggression and going with your reads. So many times neither player has anything, so those players who are too passive and "wait" for a big hand are just going to get eaten up. Just play pots in position, cbet, dont be afraid to 3bet and raise light. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): 2-4nl hand i like it but what is your image' stats' are people giving you respect or his he going to cold call you in position with QJ' how about low to mid pairs' i can't really see him not raising a set on that board, even though hes passive, so i think we're solid against his range (AKo, AKs, QJ', KK, KQss) Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Hand from Main Event Final Table: what would you do? i think given the past aggression of yang a check raise would be the best play. Lee childs checks, yang bets, and a c/r ai looks a lot stronger than leading, which lee would do with overs (in the mind of yang). i dont think it was just a good fold, but we've seen a lot of yang now to back that up Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Fold or Call the All In? depends on the payouts and how active the big stack has been playing. does he make this play with any two, or has he been pretty tight' Pop his range into pokerstove and figure out your equity of a fold vs call based on the payouts. hope that helps Posted in: Poker Discussion |
