easy fold?
Big sigh, fold, onto the next hand. I would've put the bet you suggested out on the turn, check/fold if it gets to the river.

Because a half pot bet followed by a call actually creates odds for a third player/flush fisher to call''' (i.e. potsize of 480 with only 120 to call). Not saying it would've helped anything here. Also, we're talking tournament here, not cash game. Makes some +cEV decisions -$EV because of the structure.

I'd reraise pre as well, but given the preflop play I'd bet potsize on the flop to chase out these type of lunatics. But I'm with the rest, it's a crying call. I was expecting 88 or 2p actually (but would still make the call, numerous times you'll see KQ/KJ/KT - or even complete bluffs)

First of all, why reraise with JTo, given you have no reads' Second, if you call this, why not reraise to put villain all-in in the first place' Third, imo you are going to be up against AQ+, JJ+, which does not justify calling. Again, you put yourself in a spot where you need to make a tough decision when you should have just folded...again, my opinion, love to hear what others think.

See bold print. I think a value bet may just get called as villain may be afraid you're holding the nut flush to his K-hi flush. Checking is weak, he pushes to poster 'I have nothing, you have nothing so I will push you off the hand' - and taking the odd chance you may call - which you will & should. Certainly a cooler, but he played you like a dream

I'm with your friend on this one, but I guess it's a matter of opinion. Better would be to split ROI by game (i.e. buy-in, SnG or MTT etc.) imo. That way you find out which game is your 'sweet spot'. Also, I'd probably prefer a roi of 10% at a $50 buyin over a roi of 40% at a $5 buyin - more money per hour played....

True, but at least i like to have the idea that i'm getting the right odds. This is pure gambling, getting your money in while behind and not getting paid enough to compensate for all the cases where you lose.
