Bodog Update 10/9/10 Is bodog trying to chase players away' This is ridicules. This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. First anonymous hand histories which make it more difficult to take notes, now you can't even see the individual actions taken in a hand. Why not just take away the note feature completely' It's effectively what they've done anyway. Whoever is making these decisions is a complete idiot! After almost 5 years playing there, I'm about done. Pokerstars or Tilt will be getting my rake from now on. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Pokerstars and SharkScope I just saw that using SharkScope while playing on stars is not allowed. I'm not talking about the hud. Simply looking up a persons stats that's sitting at your table is not allowed while playing. Is that possible' Can they actually tell if you have SharkScope open at the same time' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Can my hand ever be good after 2 calls on river. I have to think the way this played out, you're beat. TJ or TT. Maybe QQ. Unless both these guys are total donks, which is possible, but less likely in a $55 buy in, then say an $11 buy in. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:$20/ 180 man... His MP Limp was awful but his call was correct since there was 2745 in the pot and he was getting 3:1 to call for only 895 more. I personally raise close to 3K to either take the 1450 pot right there, or force him to make a horrible call. Any reads on this player' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:BIG POT. Make this call or not? Like I said, it was a read based play. I also thought with aces or kings he reraises less to get action, and he probably doesn't shove the flop with either, but makes a healthy value bet instead. I was pretty confident in my read. Re:BIG POT. Make this call or not? Because if an ace, K, or Q hit the board I can get away and still have a decent stack. I was at this table for about 90 minutes, and had a pretty good feel about this guy. This hand was very read based. If I felt he had a big pair, I wouldn't have called. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:BIG POT. Make this call or not? Actually, that was exactly my plan. I would have reraised any bet all in, on any flop with no Q, K, or Ace. With a Q or above on the flop I shut down without a set. That was my plan. But when he shoved, I asked myself how confident I was on my read, and I was actually pretty sure. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

BIG POT. Make this call or not? Here's the info. Top 3 Get a $12k wsop package. We are down to about 100 out of 750. I've seen villain reraise about 4 times in last hour with AQ or AK From BB. Then proceed to bet big, or shove it in, vs a smaller stack, after whiffing the flop. He's playing a very aggressive game. I had already checked one of the data sites for everyone at my table, and this guy has only played about 17 tourney's since Jan 2009, but they were all bigger buy in events. 11 were $215 buy ins, one was a $650 buy in, one was a $162 buy in, and the last few were mostly $55 buy ins. He has 2 money ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Does everyone go broke here or do I check/call river?? Was he playing loose' Tight' Is he normally aggressive post flop' Did he ever limp big hands' Or would he definately raise with AK, AA, or 99' As played with no info I have to also say check call. And if he shoves I think it's possible to lay this down if you think he might have the boat, but that's based on how he's been playing. Assuming you've been paying attention. Also because calling here puts your whole stack at risk and with 10K you still have a very healthy stack . If you're shorter you have to call, but with such a good stack you might be able find a fold. But ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Call because of pot odds or not? OK, so this is only an 40 FPP Satellite tourney, but the winners are entered into the 4000 fpp event next Saturday. The top 3 in that one get WSOP me packages. So after wading thru all the donks we're down to 11 out of 650, and top 6 get the seats. Here's the situation. The short stack shoves, and gets flatted by the big stack, so now there's about 40k in the pot. I only had about 40k left after the blinds. Should I call another 11k purely based on pot odds in this spot' I only have 10 BB's, but I'd be calling 11k into a pot that's already 40k, and I already have 4000 ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Bubble hand in the miniFTOPS ME Satty... I guess you meant that only the top 4 get a seat since there are only 5 left in this hand already. Either way, I'm thinking a little different then everyone else. You have roughly the same amount as 4 others. So besides you, 3 others are sweating it. The only one who can really relax is the big stack. In a normal tourny this would easily be a shove BUT, this isn't a normal tourney. Remember you're not playing to win here, only to get 4th. I don't know if you've been open shoving a fair amount, but you did say you just shoved the hand right before this. Because of that, you ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

QQ in Stars 30k Tourney facing aggression on J hi flop??? About 500 or so left from 2500 runners. I've been playing TAG and opponent has been fairly active, and has made some aggressive plays, but with no showdowns. This hand was the first hand right after the 3rd break, and I just got back to my pc with about 5 seconds left on my clock. I saw QQ and frantically hit the raise button before I timed out, so it was only a min raise, but then I get min reraised.... Re:New poster needs help 6.50 45 turbo down to 4 This is def a snap call. Are you gonna wait for AA, KK or QQ. You said CL started shoving the last few hands so you are way ahead of his range, but he will likely have 2 live cards which means you are probably somewhere between 60% - 67% to win. Best case is he has a weaker ace but regardless... you need to call. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

You were fairly liquored up by your own admission and were probably more obnoxious then you are leading us to believe. It doesn't mean sitting at the table right next to it. That's common sense. Its still in close enough proximity to make that dealer feel threatened. You should have gone to a table much further away. And according to the first paragraph, "The father of an 11-year-old girl who died, likely of hypothermia, after trying to walk 10 miles in the snow on Christmas Day". Re:what is your play here? If you flat here, while there's the possibility of another caller, it's highly unlikely. Without a monster no one else is getting in the way of the 2 biggest stacks going at it. And if there is 1 more caller, that's still not horrible. But I think stack size is the #1 most important factor in this hand. Your stack is just to big to risk it all on a race at this stage of the tourney. Getting a big stack is hard enough, but holding onto it can be even harder. You already have a stack that if played well can get you to the FT. But you can't win the tourney with this one hand, ... Re:Call because of pot odds or fold? Pot odds are 4-1 pre, and implied odds are also there if I flop big. Post flop either I fold or they are all going in, so post flop is a very easy decision. I'd be looking for a big flop here, not something like 1 pair. I'm looking at risk vs reward. This isn't a complete garbage hand like 83 suited, and I'd be looking for a str8 draw or flopped str8, or 2 pair or 3 of a kind. Anything else, I can get away from. I'll post what happened a bit later, but I'd like a few more opinions since I'm still not sure if folding there is correct. I'd really like to get a ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:what's my play? can i set mine? Your trying awfully hard to justify making a spewy call. You are getting SLIGHTLY LESS then 4 to 1 to call, but you're an 8 to 1 dog. Fold. You should have folded to the 1st raise with so many still left to act. You say they're bad players, and by you making this call you are playing their game, not yours. You're obviously better then a lot of others in that tourney, so fold like you know you should, and continue to out play the donks to build your stack. You can definitely find better spots. Re:what is your play here? I can't disagree with the math, but the stack sizes are also a huge factor in this spot. You're the 2 big stacks at the table and he's the only one who can take you out. It may sound nitty, but because of stack size, why not practice some risk aversion and just flat here. If you hit the flop, you can repop his C-bet, but if you whiff, you can get away and still have 40+ big blinds. That is still a huge stack to work with. No way do I flip for all my chips at this stage with such a workable stack. Against any other player at the table, a reraise would probably be a good move, but ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

3 bet question A general situational question here. Antes kicked in a few levels ago. You're in the blinds and have something like AQs, or AK, and a middle or late position raiser makes a 3-4x raise. You both have 20-25 big blinds or so. Shoving just seems like too big of a reraise vs 3 betting, but if you 3 bet, it commits almost half your stack, and you have to play OOP after the flop. So in general, with those stack sizes, wouldn't shoving in that spot have more +EV and be a better play' Easy Posted in: Poker Discussion |
