Re:FTP got a new fish attractor! Long story short, instead of sitting at individual tables you join a pool of players, and then they're divided up into tables. As soon as your action is done on a hand, you are moved to a new table with all new players. It speeds up the gameplay a ton because you don't have to wait for the action to finish in a hand before you can get dealt a new one. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:*** UFC 107 - Penn vs. Sanchez *** I put money on BJ Penn, Frank Mir, Kenny Florian, and Mike Pierce. I figured BJ and Florian were dead locks (lol at anyone who bet on Sanchez), Frank Mir was mostly a lock, and Mike Pierce was decent enough in his last fight that he was worth taking 5:1 on. Overall a good night I'd say. Posted in: Off Topic |

Re:Official Cake Poker Feedback Thread I didn't read the whole thread so I'm sure somebody mentioned it, but just in case they didn't: please make it so we can use some sort of tracking software on cake' I'd like to be able to keep track of my own winnings and losses through Pokertracker, and it's not like I can track my opponents who can change their sn's whenever they want, anyway. Re:Bullied at the final table heads up I don't play tournaments, so take this for what you think it is worth: 1) I fold pre 2) I raise pre. 3) Seems fine 4) I raise pre 5) No action 6) Seems fine 7) I fold pre. This is pretty much where your whole tournament jumps the shark. Playing your hand so weakly is horrible against a guy who is destroying you. I think he has you on a flush draw and is betting the flop and turn regardless of his holding (with the intention of getting more money into the pot for him to steal when you miss on the river). Meanwhile, he loses nothing more if your draw hits, so I guess I don't mind ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Rounders Question? Where did $20k come from? I found myself wondering the same thing the other day. To the guys saying he rebought, the only time in the actual movie when Mike says "Rebuy if you want" is when he busts him for 10k and they double the blinds. Maybe KGB bought in for 40k' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:cash game help....... You probably are playing really nitty. If you don't have a wide variety of hands in your range for entering the pot, two things happen: 1) Since your distribution is so strong, your opponents can make more money off of you set-mining then against someone with a wider range. The reason being is because when a guy is occasionally raising with hands like 76s, he won't be able to stack off very often because he will miss a lot of the time and probably only fire in a bluff (with very infrequent turn/river barreling). Hitting the set against that guy is not going to be so hot when all you ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:EDIT - CASH OUT ISSUES AGREEMENT REACHED - MillionDollarPokerClub.com............. Not to break balls, but it really is your decision whether you want to blow the money or wait and see if you can get the issue resolved. I'm pretty sure if you went on a hot streak and won 10 grand, you wouldn't be saying "Oh I'll give all the money back if you let me withdraw what I deposited." Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Problem With a Friend My advice would be this: if your boy is truly sorry, forgive him, then ask him if there's anything to it. If there is, take it seriously and tell him there's no chance and you'd greatly appreciate it if he stop using drinking as an excuse to make a move on your girl. Then keep your eye on him and be less willing to be forgiving the 2nd time around if it happens. If there isn't anything to it, laugh it off and do what all men do: break his balls for a couple months about how stupid he was. If he does it again you know there actually WAS something to it then you can be ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Re:ffs and qtf? what do they mean (yes, term noob) Well that actually kind of fits, so it's fine. Hearing somebody thinks QFT means "quit fucking typing" is much more hilarious. Also for the guy who asked, a level to me is like a troll. You say something seemingly serious to piss people off or fuck with them. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:am I spewtard? Folding because you feel you can "wait for a better spot" or "because you have an edge" is ludicrous. Your edge comes from being able to accurately judge profitable situations. Keep turning them down and you might not have an edge at all. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:why can't I multi table without going on super monkey tilt? The only way to make any kind of money at lower stakes is to multi table like crazy This is not always true. A good example would be a situation like...oh, I don't know...yours' There are tons of reasons why it could be happening, but the end result is that you just have to stop playing so many tables. Try to work your way up slowly instead of ramming 6 more tables into what you're normally used to. Take it one table at a time. Work on improving your game before you increase your tables. Re:6Max 50nl Need reads, but against most competent players, his flop bet changes his range not one iota. After his preflop action, he NEEDS to best this flop with 100% of his reraising range. So: what's his reraising range' It's going to be impossible to decipher without more reads, so: what's your reads on his play' Assuming no reads, I am simply not ready to give up on this hand yet. I'd call the flop and see what he does on the turn, and if he checks I'm betting any nondiamond turn for value, to protect my hand, and to stop him from potentially betting the river on a bluff and ... Re:Unlucky or played poorly no reads i pretty much just sat down In that case I'm probably just betting the turn again since I'm oop, and if I get raised it's a tough spot but probably a fold, considering most players like to cold call a lot more with pocket pairs and suited cards then random rag aces, because they make bigger hands and the average person has fun making big flushes and small sets. If he just calls the turn I'd probably just bet the river for value and assume worse aces will call often enough, but I wouldn't fault checking and trying to snap off a bluff there from maybe a missed ... Re:Unlucky or played poorly Reads are really important here. Against some guys, you can value bet this on all three streets. Against others, you might bet fold the turn, and against an extreme breed of passivity (loves to slowplay but gets spooked easily so will fold the flop with anything BUT a flush), you might just check-fold the turn. It really depends on how the guy is playing. If he's passive, I'd probably bet the turn and river for value and if I got raised just throw it away, as it's clear his most obvious holding is a slowplayed flush, and I can see a passive player easily calling down with much ...
