RIP Buckinator Beast, I'm very sorry for your loss. I have been obviously distracted by the WSOP and have not check the discussion or I would have said so earlier. I knew Jeff. We hung out @ the PCA in the Bahamas and when he was in L.A. recently. I know you'll miss him and I wish your family well. Sincerely, Eric "Blue" Bloore Posted in: Off Topic |

Question for liberals/ democrats I'm a liberal democrat, with a few exceptions. I'm disappointed with the Democratic Party and make no guarantees as to what they will get done. And I think it's a stereotype that we think of ourselves as superior intellectually. I happen to understand most of the Republican viewpoints as valid, even if I don't agree with them. That having been said... I think personal freedoms are under attack by the current Republican administration and I believe the Democrats would oppose/repeal that. Basic rights to speedy trial, unreasonable search and seisure, etc are in the constitution for a reason ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Does anybody invest or trade stocks??? I used to own a 300 broker firm until I sold it to AIG. I have every license the NASD offers. Although I do not have clients anymore myself, I should be able to give you the advice you need. If you would like some help send me an e-mail to erbloore@ or a private message and I will do what I can to help. If you thought that advice would be helpful for the whole p5 community, then I will be happy to post it as a reply, I just didn't think you'd want to share too much personal financial info in this type of forum. Did I do something wrong? You did nothing wrong until the river. Assuming you still thought your hand was good when you lead out on the river, you knew it wasn't when it was capped. Limit is all about getting in extra bets when you have the best of it and SAVING bets when you're beat. Posted in: Bad Beats |

How would you play this in this spot? Well' the flop was not exactly ace rag rag and I cant tell what his betting would be like against a bigger stack. I'm guessing he'd check, i'd bet 5k, he'd move all in and i'd fold. Gank saves half his stack and i waste half. Gank wins. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

How would you play this in this spot? I'd flat call. 2000 is not a huge part of your stack and he could easily be raising this amount with tens jacks or queens. I'd be willing to get away from slick if i don' flop and he bets pot. I'd also be willing to risk it all with a good flop (ace or king rag rag). Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Thoughts on this cash game hand? As was mentioned, although I don't mind this play, I would have reraised pre probably making it 20 to go. With aces, I'm looking to pot-commit the short stack (with 7 invested and 35 left, he's not totally committed to a 30 pot, but close). I don't think the play supports your narrowing of waddie's hand to what you mentioned. I think making it a small reraise to 20 to go accomplishes both. Also, you want there to be a promise of a side pot if waddie connects somewhat (i.e. he has QQ and can convince himself that you'e only calling the small stacks allin on the flop for the odds - 18 more into ... why tilt I consider it my job to win the whole tournament or take a bad beat. A true bad beat is when you got it all in with the best of it by a large margin. That is how I intend to go out all the time. I'm much less happy with pot-committing myself to a draw that misses or playing a bad kicker. Make it your job, too, Gus! So far, job well done. :-) Posted in: Poker Discussion |

hand played on 4 diff sites.....(rated funny but true) Moral: Bet out pot on party where you get called to river by gutshot that misses, bet out small on ub where they will raise with a-k and fold to your reraise on flop, don't play paradise, and PStars players won't call all in on flop without overpair(good) or set (bad, but inevitable). Soccer Mom 2's Cooking is RIGGED I'll grant you... that is the biggest dog I have ever seen. It takes a lot of dog to scare me, but my tail went right between my legs when I saw that beast. You sure it was Mom's cooking and not the intense amounts of Belvedere. Or did that just start when I showed up' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

my senator's response It's obvious this guy is an elephant. We should be voting for donkeys in the fall. At least the donkeys are less likely to legislate morality. Worse, this is about taxes, but they put a 'moral' issue on it. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Official WSOP Pocketfives Roster Last year i made the final table of PLO with Barry Greenstein (who won it) and he was blinded off in the other tourney while he played the final in ours, but still magaed to make the money in that one too. It can be done. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Why do people tap the glass? Anytime you know you should do something in poker, and don't, it costs you money. I've played with you many times Blonde, and I know how good you are. I wonder how much more money you'd make with more emotional control. Can you honestly say it's not effecting your play' Even if not, the situations you describe you would ask for again in a heartbeat. Why would you do anything to discourage getting the exact plays again' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Just a though about WSOP I had no idea they said this. I stopped trying on FTP as soon as I won my first Stars seat. But I'd play them again if someone could verify this for Matt and myself. Someone help us out with this. Thanks, Blue. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
