If someone yelled before he swings I don't condone that. I haven't seen any reports that that happened. The fans were yelling things after the shot, which is very common.

Exactly. Your opinion is based on emotion, not logic. Like a female. You are upset with the fans because they were being mean to someone that you empathize with. His response to the situation only strengthens my point that the fans' response to his actions were not out of line. I haven't ridiculed him as a person, told him to die, get AIDS, etc. etc. All I've said is that people were rattled by the nature of his slow play and they let him know that -- like when fans boo the home team in team sports when they're playing like shit. Pretty avid golfer actually. / The difference is that people were mocking Na because of his slow play -- which has grown as a serious issue in the game across all levels -- not because of his quality of play. Whether at a public course on Saturday afternoon or at The Players on Saturday afternoon, slow play is irritating to all parties involved and is detrimental to the game. My point is that the fans don't owe the players anything. If they want to play golf in a setting of perfect etiquette they can join and confine themselves to many private clubs and compete for club championships. If they want to play for millions of dollars on Tour and at the Stadium Course at Sawgrass they are subject to scrutiny from both the fans and the media. Na understands that. He said he understands that. The people butthurt by the fans are just soft.

Na said himself he deserved it. Ask these guys if they'd rather play in today's world of professional golf (6-7 million $ purses and more riled up fans) or 30 years ago and see what they say.

These guys make millions of dollars off the purses that come from fans $ and from sponsorships that are profitable because the fans buy into it. These fans are justified to express how they feel, as long as they're not chirping in his back swing or throwing things. They're isolated events from the fans that only happen at rare times usually related to slow play.

He was given a time violation today on 16 I believe. He appealed it but the official went back, watched the tape, and confirmed it. I guess one more and he gets a stroke penalty. I mean I get that he's basically within the rules and within about how long other players take on Tour. Just to my preference I can't stand it and it pisses me off watching -- like Sergio 10 years ago.

Golf Swing Tips
I posted my swing in here about a year ago and it produced the best results of my golf game in my 10 years of playing -- went from a 14 to a 6 in about 1 year without lessons. I don't know much on how to critique golf swings, but mariner and a few others give great advice. Good luck OP. /

I thought Murray had the break to go 6-5 and serve for the win. Novak reminds me of Tiger in a lot of ways -- he's just so good in the clutch. The two match points against Fed's serve in the 2011 US Open that he overcame to win immediately come to mind.

Abu Dabi HSBC Golf Championship
Tiger's swing right now is an extremely positive sign. His putting, however, is very concerning. Say what you want about "he'll figure it out for sure as long as the swing is fine," and I do believe that he will -- but it's still very concerning going forward. He's lost a handful of majors because his putting sucked.
