Re(1): Do any of the top players have a job
You have a job....Playing poker. Maybe you should approach it that way. Have set hours and a schedule. That way when you are not playing poker you can go out and be social. I know tons of people who have jobs they are not social at. They just punch in, do their work and go home. What happens is you play whenever you can....and that turns in to all the time. Be your own boss, set hours and when it isn't time to "work", go out and live a normal life. Sometimes too much of something can be bad...even if you are making money.

Re(5): Advertising at the WSOP, and Pokerstars?
Fair' Who ever said anything about being fair' Harrah's is a business and they are going to do what is best for them. They have no obligation to be fair in this situation. They own the WSOP. They can run it however they choose to. If they run it like shit and everyone bails....so what' I will reiterate this again, Harrahs could give a rats ass about poker. Compared to its other forms of income poker is nothing. The only reason casino's even deal poker is to get gamblers to come in and play other games. They could care even less about protecting online poker site's and or online poker ...

Re(2): Advertising at the WSOP, and Pokerstars?
I think you need to look at the bigger picture for Harrah's.Their interests do not lie in protecting online poker sites. Their interests lie in protecting their investments. Right now the laws regarding online gaming are shady at best. IfI was Harrah's there is no way I would jepordize my gaming liscences in any way. I would definitely error on the side of caution. Do you have any idea how much money Harrah's makes outside of poker' That revenue is their first priority. Not protecting the rights of online poker players.

Re(1): Worst sharkscope you’ve seen??
I know some of these stats are pretty sick and these guys obviously suck at poker but did some of you ever stop to think that maybe they could care less' You know there are a lot of very rich people who love to gamble. Take someone who owns there own business or inherited a business or large some of money. Let's say they are worth between 10-20 million. Do you really think they care if they lose 100k' I've seen people worth that much lose 100K in a single sitting at a blackjack table and care less. Point is not everyone plays poker to make a profit and not everyone has the same perception ...

Re(3): SWAT Team busts Dallas Games
It sure does seem excessive, but you are ASSUMMING that is the one and only reason behind the raid. If you watch the video you will hear the cop say that their might be weapons involved. Do you know what info the team was working on' No. Maybe they had an informate that told them some of the people there were carrying guns or other weapons. This is an illegal game, if something happens to you or your money, you can't exactly call the cops to come settle it. Many people brings weapons to illegal gambling establishments. That is not even a far fetched thing to assume. Point is you don't know. ...

Re(1): SWAT Team busts Dallas Games
People, it's ok to debate whether or not these poker rooms should be legal. But why bash the police' They are enforcing the laws on the books. Laws that the citizen's representation have set forth. They used tactics that are totally legit for that type of raid. So lame that someone would argue that these cops should go bust "real" criminals....WTF is a real criminal' Or by that do you mean more serious crimes' You are friggen high on crack if you think these cops wouldn't rather be nabbing a serial rapest or murderer. But these are not detectives...they are SWAT. They do not investigate ...

Re(1): sng decision ....call reshove?
I love these because there is no answer. There are only guesses. Total stranger, no information what so ever on the hand. This is a total and complete guess. Any answer you give is the right one. The only way to know what the right answer is would be to know the players hole cards. Since we don't know the hole cards and have ZERO information to make an educated guess then there is no point to asking the question. The question you should ask is.....do you feel like gambling here' Of course, that is of a personal nature and again not informative in the slightest.

Re(5): BlackJack on PokerSites
This statement is just a little over the top. I really liked your first post but this one is off base. Some people do know that BJ is a losing game and still play. That does not mean they have a problem. Most view BJ simply as paid entertainment. I would say that spending $500.00 to go to an Opera is some what insane. But if you have the money and really enjoy Opera, then it might make sense. Same with gambling at -EV games. If you enjoy them and the money is inconsequential, I say have fun....not you have a problem.

Re(3): LMAO!!! UB!!
Did you ever stop to think that these "idiots" are just having fun. Not everyone gambles to make a living. Most do it for fun. They view it as paid entertainment and if they win some then great. I think the statement that Vegas was built on people who don't understand math is kinda misleading. Most people know that 99% of gambling has a house edge. Gambling can be an extremely exhilarating activity....win or lose. How many other forms of entertainment can you get where the house takes a mere 3-5% profit' Not too many.

You know, I may get shot dead for this but, I don't think the call there with QJ is a bad one. The all in over bet to me just screams middle pair. I would be very very confident that I had two overs in that situation.

Re(4): Jamie Gold Stiffs Dealers
I think the only thing a dealer can do is try and be as nice as possible and insure that everyone at the table has a good time and is dealt a fair game. If they accomplish this ( not easy to do with all the dickhead poker players out there ) then I feel they deserve a tip. If they just sit there and are unfriendly and simply shuffle cards then I feel they deserve no tip because they have added nothing to the game or my experience. As with anything we do, there is a right way and a wrong way to do it.

Re(3): Jamie Gold tips 1 MILLION
After reading more about him it says that he was a Hollywood agent turned television producer. I think it is fairly safe to assume this was not a life changing amount of money for him. That would also explain his comment about not wanting to win. The money is not life changing but the fame would be. I think that is what he was trying to convey.

Re(1): Jamie Gold tips 1 MILLION
You know, I don't know Jamie Gold but you have to consider a couple of things. He was a former Hollywood agent and is now retired' Maybe' At what, 45-50 years old' He lives in Malibu. I think we might be dealing with someone who doesn't view 12 Million as all that much money. Yes, in the poker world 12 million is a gigantic sum of money for a poker player. To someone with a descent amount of success in the entertainment industry, 12 million is not a life changing amount. Like I said, I don't know Jamie Gold ( for all I know he could be in debt up to his ears ) but some of the signs about ...

Re(1): Interesting Hand from ME whats your move
This is EXACTLY how I left the ME. I got moved to asuper aggro table with about 23K in chips. I watched my stack dwindle down to about 16K after some good laydowns..(cards were shown so I know Imade some good folds) I pick up AK diamonds in middle pos and make it 1600 to go. I get two callers, of course, and the flop comes lead out for 2000 and the player behind me just grabs a handfull of 1K chips and puts them in. Enough to easily put me all in. I call and figure I have to make a stand at some point. He flipped over 1010 and I knew Ineeded a diamond or a Jack. Turn was a and river ...
