March Madness in Vegas (Sorry if re-post)
Haven't been on here in a while so I'm really sorry if this is a re-post. I'm going with 9 friends to Vegas next week for March Madness and we're looking for a place to watch the games. I'm new to this group and these guys have gone in the past usually watching at the Wynn and we're looking for a new place this year. I've read about the LV Hilton is a solid place to go. I've read that Paris is opening up their theatre this year for the games, any truth to that' We're really looking for a place where all of us can watch all the games together and make bets w/o standing 30 minutes in ...

LA to Vegas Drive
I'm flying into LA for work tomorrow and then heading to Vegas for the weekend. I'm planning on leaving at noon on Friday. Should I expect crazy traffic' Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

If you play in a "B" city league you more than likely not a B player. Big big difference between leagues and Tournies. I play USSSA D.

Grizzly Bear is awesome. The song they did with Michael McDonald is really good. Haven't heard much of Dr. Dog. I bought the new Yeasayer cd a month ago and it's pretty good. Most of the songs are solid but some are just awful (the first song on the record). Good choices. Keep this thing going.

The BJ Fulk Mayhem is a really good bat for the price. You can find it online for $200 or if you know a Worth rep it's around $175. I have a balance Worth Titan and its a great bat that I got for $200. Why doesn't your league impliment a HR run' If you're scared of liners hit at you play a 5 man infield...

I was at a grocery store with some friends getting some stuff for dinner and this real weird looking dude was in front of us in the checkout line with a 24 pack of bottled water and one banana. We all thought this was extremely odd.

I say take the chop. Harrison will not run for over 100 yards this week. I can guarantee that. The raiders are much better up front than the Chiefs. Besides Johnson his receiving core is better. His running backs are better. His TE is better. I say chop

In October I saw Passion Pit and they were really awesome live. I was expecting them to be terrible but it was an awesome show. Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears were amazing live. Great blues/rock band. I've seen The Whigs twice times this year and they are easily put on the best show I've ever seen. Have a ton of energy and are amazing musically. Def have a listen to them.

I need a little help too... Schaub or Big Ben Keep in mind that Schaub is playing with a dislocated left shoulder (non-throwing) and is playing @ home against Seattle. Big Ben is playing the Browns (duh) in Cleveland. Friends in Cleveland just told me its in the Teens now and wind gust off the lake around 30-40 MPH and getting toward 40-50 during game time. Game time wind chill is going to be 0.

CBJ played somebody (maybe the Oilers) and there were 2-3 fights within the first two minutes of the game. Maybe they love to fight' Might have been pissed off that the Wings beat them 9-1 last week...

I played in this tourney when I was 12 in 1997, played in the last week of July. Honestly this was one of my best baseball memories. There were 35+ teams that week and we finished the pool play in 8th place. They do the pool play and then seed for the single elim tourney. We played the #2 seed in the tourney for the championship. Down 3 runs with 2 out and a 1-2 count on our #9 hitter. Kid fouls off 3-4 pitches and works a walk. Next batter single. Next batter walk. First pitch to our #3 hitter grand slam. It was unreal. We were the away team and ended up scoring 4-5 more runs after that. ...

I was just talking to some of my friends about this. I just turned 25 and its night and day between being 24 and 25 for me atleast. Last summer I used to go ape sh*t Friday night, wake up @ 8am Saturday and play 4-5 softball games, get back home and go out again. Now I still try and do that but I don't feel normal until Monday afternoon or Tuesday. Def a sad sad realization...

No payscale for draft picks which is a huge problem. They go off of history of the draft. The MLB draft & NFL draft needs to be more like the NBA draft with payscales. Pretty redic that a guy who has never pitched or played a down professionally makes more than all star or pro bowler.

Two of my close friends live in the Oregon District. It's a pretty cool place, I mean as cool as it can be in Dayton. Theres a bunch of bars and restraunts there as well. If you're younger its right by the University of Dayton so theres a bunch of college type bars about 5 min from the Oregon District. Another friend lives in Beavercreek and she loves it. It's like any big suburb. Big mall, Best Buy, Walmart, etc. Ton of restraunts and bars. Hope this helps

Anyone ever own one' Pros/Cons' Thinking about getting one towards the end of the summer when my schedule is better. My old roomie has a weimaraner and he's a handful. I'm not really looking for anything with that kind of energy/destructive behavior. Thanks in advance

I checked into the train and the only problem with that is we arrive in philly @ 620pm and a train leaves @ 715. Not a whole lot of time to get luggage and over to the station. It is def the most cost effective but more than likely we will miss the train
