It is a small casino that opened about a year ago, and these two guys, who are partners in business apparently have a lot of dough. They aren't much for playing poker themselves though. Oh and they think I'm real good. LOL.

OK, a few other things. The 5 events are $340 events each and dont figure to be big turn-outs. Maybe the top two would be the only ones to cash for over 5k if that. Lets assume I did cash for over 5k plus entries in one or more of the tournaments. The backers may not be present at the tournaments. How do I then go about cashing out my share and handle W2 forms. Would I then need them both to come to the tournament venue and sign for their share of money and fill out tax papers too' This could be a bitch for two successful business men.

They have seen me play and do well in smaller events in a Casino that one of them happens to own. Are the following figures anything close to normal or reasonable' They put up the money. I play in 5 events. I get 40% off top of all winnings. They get 60%. I am responsible for all tax issues obv. With zero makeup. (They dont even know what it is lol) I am drafting up some things right now. Did I strike gold or are these types of deals commonplace when dealing with people outside of the game' I wanna do the right thing. I want it to be fair. Is it'

I was thinking given the stack sizes and no other reads mentioned as raise of about 2000-2150 would accomplish the same thing as would the raise to 26 and change. Would you ever think of just overlimping pre' Think about it. It gives your hand has good deceptive value. You can base your play post flop based on the action in front of you as you have position. If you do flop a set you opponent will never put you on it and you can get paid off huge by KK and AA.

Hey scarface, maybe try letting people know early on that the question wont be answered. Then when they invariably ask it you can, you can just remind them. Start em out like this. "OK I have one rule now that you know I play poker online. Just dont ask me how I am doing with calls and texts...I know you may mean well, but it is not something I want to focus on when I'm playing...OK'" Peace kid.

I raise up front with small pairs from time to time to mix up my play to not become so predictable. I woulda raised the same amount with AA or KK here so why is this so funny with 28 bb's' And if it means anything I folded to the shove, the first caller called with 55 and won the pot.

Weird spot in Nightly 70k on Stars
This guy was circling the drain for quite a while and was looking to get it in with a scant of fold equity. I felt like his range was huge, yet I had a solid player behind me (with a bigger stack). We were about 50-60 guys from the money. Can you elaborate on the taking 10k out thing. I have played there a lot and dont ever remember them doing this shizit in the past. Venetian is usally top heavy in payouts and Caesars is flatter but don't allow for any chopping.

Set over set in 3r
Again 75+ big blinds deep I "set mine" cuz the guy behind me has me covered, so I feel like Im getting the right implied odds. Bingo I hit, now I'm supposed to get away on the turn after the ck raise' I guess so but it is so hard to fold a freaking set. !@#$#@!#$ I guess he could have flatted with 78 suited and floated the flop, but out of position' 4-7 seems more unlikely as well, so that leaves 55 and 99. The ck raise seems right on for those two hands. But is any other over pair playing it this way as well' Side note I timebanked pre cuz of the huge raise to open the pot, so ...

I'm calling here pre for the following reasons guys: 1. I am deep enough to peel a flop with another deep stack. 2. I have position on him 3. If I hit the right type of flop I can stack the guy. 4. If I whiff the flop I can go away, but by calling him with any two I will be sending him a message that I am willing to play pots with him, and this may slow down his willingness to open too many pots light. Yes it could be A7, but he did raise coming in up front, so I put him on a tighter range than that. Do you think I played the flop ok or should I have raise more, less or not at all'

Once you bet that much on flop you were looking for a fold oughta him right' Why not lead smaller here, about 1/2 pot to give your hand/draw some deception, if he comes over the top of you then reevaluate things. In SB vs BB battles position for the rest of the hand is always there yet sometimes we get mentally lazy and momentarily disregard the importance of position while in a hand. I personally hate completing from the SB. I see it as a big leak in my game when I do. I either raise 3+ times the BB or fold as I dont want to give the BB a free peak at the flop with a marginal hand. While ...

OK is this a STANDARD fold on the turn in Stars 3r or what?
Player Ols82 had recently come to my table towards end of rebuy period and played pretty tight. Coming out of the rebuy period he was very active for the first 5-6 hands. What would you do on the turn here and why' The rest of the table was/is very soft so this is an automatic fold right' I counted 12 outs for straight and flush draw on the flop, plus is my King ever good here on the turn' Frustration shove with 10's-QQ' What else could I have done on flop' Shove seems real weak as we are pretty deep with me having 60bb's' Any help appreciated guys thanks. -Rick PokerStars Game ...

Ok I have a problem with Card Player. It used to be that you could look up any/all live tournament results within a short amount time. Even somewhat obscure listings would show results if a schedule had been listed in the tournament section. Now you cant even find results for some big events like the World Poker Challenge 3k and 5k run this past week! Memo to Card Player: Get your shit together.
