To shove or not to shove? Agree with the folders. You've got some time to see some hands and get some fold equity. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

around 80 left in sunday mil I hate echoing what almost everyone else said, but I can't possibly imagine how you could consider anything but folding after the reraise. I do feel your angst, tho, after flopping what would have been quads. Oh well, happens to all of us. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Vegas Tourney trip starts Monday! It's a cool exhibit with great marine animals, but it's relatively small compared to other marine exhibits in the country (e.g., Chicago, NY), and the $17 admission fee is pretty high. I was out of there in about half an hour to 45 minutes. Agree. Venetian DS tourneys are great, good payback to players. Nick, I still think of that tourney we were in together where that woman with 88 vs your 10's binked an 8 on the river when we were close to the money bubble and you were chip leader. What a disastrous bad beat. Hope we get to play in another one together this year. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Reasons for my success? Cracker, Just wanted you to know that yesterday in 4 consecutive mtt's/sng's, I had aces cracked once and kings cracked 3 times, all early in the tourney, and I thought of your post each time and smiled my way through it. I had been working on bb's not affecting my play before your post, nevertheless, it helped anyway. Thanks again. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Reasons for my success? OP, don't let this remark spoil the intent of your post. Mental attitude is very important, and you've nicely elaborated on how the proper mindset can be of great benefit. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Please Help - Poker Ethics Question People are allowed to change their minds. Once player A is no longer involved, the remaining 3 players are allowed to renegotiate and make a new deal. I don't know why Player A felt like shit, I mean the amount of money involved is around $100, certainly not a big deal. I don't think there's anything unethical about what the 3 remaining players did. Here's another scenario: Suppose Player B gets knocked out, the terms of the original agreement still in place, leaving players C and D. Now, why can't C and D renegotiate and chop the remaining prize pool' I can't see any reason why they can't, ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Avoiding More Than 10% Rake, Is It Possible For Micro Grinders? Yeah, the $5 DS do last longer, and it takes a long time to get 90 players, but the $1.10 last usually less than 3 hours, and they fill up quickly, so you could easily be multitabling 6+ within an hour, and they almost never last for more than 2 1/2 hours, so if u bust out of one, just add another. The turbos on Stars would def give you a chance to build up the br more quickly, but I've always disliked turbos, so they are not for me, but could well be for you. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

The Beatles - Love It was "fair." I don't think it was worth the price (we paid $150 each and not the most expensive seats, go to the website). Others have seen it and loved it. Just my opinion. I think you'd be much better off to see Jersey Boys. Even if you spent more money, it's worth every penny. Now that's a show! Posted in: Off Topic |

ftp breakdown? I got an automated message in my email about rule 31, yadayada. But I was playing in 2 sng's and did not get a message about the second one, so does that mean I am only going to get my money back from the first one, plus a little extra from the chip count' I don't understand this. Avoiding More Than 10% Rake, Is It Possible For Micro Grinders? I've been doing well in the 90 man deep stack sng's on FT, $1.10 bi. 3k starting chips, 10 minute blind levels. Payout is absurdly high, 20% get paid. Doesn't take that long for a new sng to get started, so you can easily be multitabling a number of these within half an hour or so. No check withdrawl on full tilt or bank transfer working on ftp Requested $200 bank transfer on 12/13. Was told it might take longer than 15 business days. Last week, was told they were having problems with third party processors and they would wire the money into the account within a week. I got $172.15 wired into the account in a couple of days, my bank deducted a $10 fee, and FT put $50 in my account to cover the wire expenses. So overall, they paid me an extra few dollars for the inconvenience. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
