Flop 338 phil checks mark bets phil agonizes and mark says $20 to see best hand. Phil says "20 bucks really'" He jumps out of his seat and digs 20 bucks out and folds Aj off. Mark shows 44. Marks family and friends say "drinks on phil". Hellmuth gets all happy and throws $40 more on the table. Then mark says "arubaaa". Phil gets all excited he went to aruba so he gives him $100 more. long story short thanks for the ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Shove 17bb in million here terrible? ty for responses... Also something to note is that two of the stacks behind me were ~7-8bb stacks that I think have much wider ranges including all pairs etc... I still don't feel shoving was super bad but raise/calling seems to make most sense. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Shove 17bb in million here terrible? This spot came up in the million today. I am just a recreational tournament player - I mostly play cash. I made this shove and bunch of people I've discussed this with told me this is horrendous and I've gotten mixed responses that I should have either raise/folded or folded PF. I personally didn't think raise/folding was great with 17bb so I guess raise calling could have worked. Best move here' PokerStars Game #23580642323: Tournament #129730961, $200+$15 Hold'em No Limit - Level XV (2000/4000) - 2009/01/04 20:36:48 ET Table '129730961 159' 9-max Seat #2 is the ... One of the most incredible chipleads i'v ever seen (WCOOP Event #1) Just incredible. This guy, SilverSocks who was at The Hunt D's table which I was railing started at 800k when I opened it up. Then he kept steamrolling to 2mill. At that point he got it allin against 2nd place in the entire tourney (40 left at the time) Aces vs. Kings and held. So now he has 3.2mill at 4k/8k. 400bbs this deep in a tourney. I didn't even know that was possible. It's either a testament to Poker Star's super sweet WCOOP structure or to this guy's rungodliness (if this isn't a word, I just created it) Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:pokerstars, no 100r @ 2pm tomm? This is Roothlus posting on Fisheye's account. This might be single most dumb thing that Poker Stars has ever done. I guess they don't want money. They created this problem by putting guarantees on too many tourneys (i.e the early 100r). If anything some won't make the guarantee but others will FAR exceed the guarantee. Seriously Stars' This is just unbelievable. The fact that it was discussed heavily throughout the week is even more depressing. Dude, get the tourney running today. I or none of the other players who constantly frequent the site should have to wait until next week ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:home game i was at just got robbed at gun point.... wtf Wow this is scary. I play at dan's 1/2 game often as well as a few others in town. That is absolutely nuts that this happened, especially since it's not the first game in town to be robbed. There was a 2/5nl game that got robbed months back for alot more than whats in play at dans. Scary and very shitty for the home game scene here in orlando. I always believed there were many shady people that came to that game even though I can assure that dan himself didn't have part in this, as this game is a good source of income for him and I cant imagine scooping everything in play for 1 ... easy money Just a side note, they have these 6 max 2000 fpp stt sattys to the 2M takedown. 1st - 10k, 2nd - 2k. I know playing for fpps sounds dumb but the competition from what ive seen is all micro players, should be an easy way to rack up $1000+ in fpp value by the weekend for anyone with a bunch of fpps. Re(1): A few razz hands... Yo Camz, I'll put in my two cents. Hand 1 - It is short handed and I understand defending with a K < T if you could make a better hand than a 9 low (which I see has been brought up). Even if the guy is on a steal with a face card under, alot of his steals are not far behind. You're guess to peel off a card is much more profitable if you have two to a 7 or better under as you will obviously have greater showdown value. As far as betting out 7th, I like it. You and I both know you are getting paid by a T low in this limit against this guy at worst, so bet it. If you lead out, it's hard for ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Razz advice I'm a regular in the 10/20 and up razz game on stars and full tilt. There isnt really any good literature on razz, just a section in supersystems and a section of the ftp guide. It's likely you're putting too many bets in on early streets and forced to draw for big bets on later streets as the hand % can turn very quickly in razz from every street. If you are really interested in stradegy you can pm me. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
