Slumps - Variance or Bad Play?
Love the advice guys. I tend to lean towards bad play over a standard variance. I agree with the "you tend to be getting it in bad too often." comment, where I was expecting to see that I was a favorite, and a higher percentage favorite in more of those all ins. I also recognize that this is a fairly smallish sample size. I play in the upwards of 500 tourney's/S&G's per month, so this represents just 3 days' play. I am going to chalk this up to a bad variance, and then really get into where the leaks are by re-playing the events as a whole. I really don't think that I made too many ...

Slumps - Variance or Bad Play?
I'm firmly locked into the worst slump of my career. It may not sound like much considering the fact that I play micro-stakes tournaments (typically $2-$5 buy ins and S&G's), but for my roll, its more than a little troublesome. I hit a big score (3rd in a $5 MTT) to pad the roll quite a bit, and then the doomswitch flicked on. I went 0 for my next 47 in my tournaments, and on the 48th, I min cashed (a huge $3 prize for my $2.25 buyin). Re:Assessing a 4bet shove
I don't have a probl em with the 3bet here. Pretty standard...but a fold is necessary in the face of a 4bet shove. Not worth stacking off here with AQ. There aren't that many hands that you have so crushed that you can really justify the call of the 4bet shove. You're either hoping for a weaker Ace, or you're hoping for a flip. Even against a hand like KJ you're only 60-40. I'd fold here, and then wait to stick it in later.
