my underpits and hands used to sweat something fierce. i tried the stuff a doctor will give you for excessive sweating to kill off or shrink up your sweat glands. the way it feels you might as well just take a hand full of knitting needles and stab yourself in the pit with em. i solved my problem unintentionally 10 years ago when i moved out of the city. i have not had sweaty hands or excessive underpit sweating since the day i moved to the country.

I got jury duty on Thursday
i'll never get people that try to get out of jury duty. besides raising a child it's one of the most important things in life that the average person gets a chance at doing. whenever i hear someone talking about getting out of it i wonder if they will some day find themselves in some fucked up situation that they will need to depend on a jury. i'd be honoured to do it but no invitations so far.

I consider basic manners to be very important. Lately I've found myself responding to 'thank you, thanks a lot or some variant' on the phone with "okay bye". I feel bad about it before I even get the phone put down. I don't know how my "you're welcome" turned into "okay bye" and I'm having a hard time breaking the habit.

This exactly. All I could think about while reading the OP was that hopefully soon everyone will finally get sick enough of the tipping system to just stop doing it. It's a bad system that benefits no one. If everyone just stops doing it then businesses will have to start paying servers fairly.
