Official 2013 OT Workout Crew Thread
Eat real food. Eat whole grains. Eat more protein, less carbs. Only drinkwater (and maybe protein shakes). Sounds boring but you can actually have avaried and tasteful diet and still follow these rules. Don't eat any processedfoods. When you shop, don't even go into the inner isles. Shop the perimeter ofthe market where they keep fresh food. If it comes in a box it is probably notgood for you. Eat several small meals throughout the day instead of 3 largemeals. Eat protein in every meal. Breakfast should be mostly protein. To lose weight you simply need to burn more calories than you ...

Here is even a better analysis of Tate's touchdown catch. / Waco, before you tell me to die for the 4th time, read the article. Then you can tell me die. If you want, you can even provide reasons why you think I am wrong.

I disagree that with this statement: "In mid air, Tate clearly had at the most one hand on the ball AFTER Jennings had control". Look at seconds 8 and 9. Even at slow motion it is very difficult to see if Tate's hand was on the ball when Jennings hands were on the ball. It appears to happen at the same time. I agree that Jennings has two hands on the ball and appears to have more contol of it. That does not mean Tate does not also have control of the ball. He can control the ball with one hand, right' In this situation the refs do not decide who has "more control". Tate gained more control ...

This is true and I don't dispute that fact. There were many horrible calls that likely impacted the outcome game for both teams. The pass interference call where it should have been offensive pass interference was brutal. The pass interference call against the Hawks on 3 down during the drive that GB took the lead was horrible. Either of those calls, if made right, could have sealed the deal for either team.

That screen shot is like a second after they hit the ground. Look at the video. Tate clearing had two hand on the ball when his back it the ground. Jennings this attempt to wrestle it away but possession was already established.

Did Tate not have two hands on the ball when his back hit the ground' I know, I am alone on this one but I am sticking with it.

Am I the only one who thinks this was a good call' Here is how the NFL describes a completed pass: A forward pass is complete when a receiver clearly possesses the pass and touches the ground with both feet inbounds while in possession of the ball. Obviously that description hinges on the definition of possession: Possession: When a player controls the ball throughout the act of clearly touching both feet, or any other part of his body other than his hand(s), to the ground inbounds. Here is how I look at the play . . . Imagine Tate is alone and makes the same play. He reaches up with one ...

Picture A Day
I took my two sons (9 and 6) backpacking last weekend. The valve on our camp stove burner broke rendering it useless. So we had to cook on the open fire. This picture is our oatmeal cooking for breakfast. At 8:00 I got up to cook breakfast. First I had to search the forest for burnable wood. Then I had to start the fire and let it burn for a while until there were good coals to cook on. Then I had to wait for the water to boil and then cook the oatmeal. Breakfast was finally served around 9:15. It made me realize how easy life is at home when I can make oatmeal in 2 minutes.

It St. John, USVI. I spent a week in St. Thomas in August. We took a day trip over to St. John. St. Thomas is cool but St. John was more beautiful. Much of the island in a national park so the beaches are undeveloped and pristine.

Can I sue?
Can he sue' Yes. Anyone who has enough money to pay the filing fee can file a lawsuit. Would you win at trial' This would never make it to trial. This case would be dismissed on summary judgment. There is no reasonable basis to hold the venue responsible. The OP even states "no one was at fault . . . it was a freak accident". A case will only make it past summary judgment if there are facts that give rise to a cause of action that will allow the plaintiff to recover if those facts are proved in court. Here are there no set of facts, that even if proved, would allow the OP to recover his ...

What percentage of your monthly gross income do you pay for your mortgage?
My income fluctuates a lot but in 2011 I paid 42% of my gross income to my mortgage. I also paid 15% to student loans and about 8% to healthy insurance. That is 65% before I even think about all our other bills! I have two kids and a shit ton of expenses that goes along with that. It has been rough the last 16+ months.

I have been to several air shows and I love the jets. We saw the Thunderbirds a few years ago. They were amazing because they seemed so close to us. It felt like they were only a couple hundred yards over our heads. The coolest fly overs I have witnessed, however, have happened when I have been backpacking in the mountains. It has only happened a few times and last summer was one of those times. We were camping next to a lake at about 5,500 feet. There was not a soul in sight. The only sound was the wind blowing and the insects buzzing our heads. Then, without warning a jet flies over the ...
