I call bullshit on this. Every year that Spurrier has been here he has been rumored to be leaving. He was supposed to go to Alabama and Miami and who else knows because of this same issue. If this was even just a decent rumor it would be all over the Carolina message boards and there is nothing there about it there. Spurrier has said countless times that he will stay at Carolina and become their winningest coach, which isn't really saying alot since all of Carolina's coaches have pretty much sucked. Dude, I never once said that South Carolina was a better team than Florida. South Carolina is a much improved team over the past couple of years and have seriously upgraded their talent and depth. I wasn't making the argument that South Carolina would beat Florida because anything can happen anyday I was just saying that by comparing how Florida played against LSU and how South Carolina played against them is ridiculous. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL at your reasoning. So since Florida played LSU close and almost beat them that makes them unbeatable by South Carolina. I guess since a previously 1-4 Stanford team is unbeatable too since they beat the previously number 1 or 2 team (depending on the poll you look at) in Southern Cal. And I guess nobody could beat App. St. too since they knocked off number 5 michigan earlier in the year and yet they lost two weeks ago to Wofford. My whole point is South Carolina's defense may allow a lot of yards but they don't allow a lot of points. A good defense isn't always forcing three and outs and forcing the other team to punt. A good defense also forces turnovers and keeps teams out of the endzone. Fact: South Carolina's defense has held LSU, Kentucky, and Georgia to their lowest point totals for the season. Those are three top 15 teams. You don't do that to 3 top 15 teams in the SEC without having a good defense. Their run defense isn't great but as a unit they play well and keep teams out of the endzone.
