Recap of the month of Jan =) SO i have been playing poker for just about a year. Im 19 years old and fell in the love with the game after i saw it on espn. I always been a FT player so i decided a lil while ago to make a stars account and deposit $20. From about a month i been able to grind up a BR of 2kish.. Wanna say ty to all my member of the study group im in cuz ever since i joined i have gained a ton of help and value out of the study groups. Final Tabled the $4.40 2r1a again SO i made the FT of the $4.40 2r1a on stars and got 4th! Overall happy with my play. I have had three FT's in this tourny already and like 5 other really deep finishes but i just cnt seem to ship it. I wnt stop playing this tourny till i finally ship it. I had my good bud Chris shadow me from like 100 to the very end and i appreciate him being there and supporting me and keepin me confident. Helped out alot budd. $100R At my local town Nah its cool i though i wasnt gonna get paid till next Sat but i was able to talk to my boss into paying me on Thursday so imma have about $250 from there. And somehow i want to grind some sngs to see if i can atleast grind up a $100 or $150 within the next 8-10 days. I have about 1.5k in my stars so i dnt mind peeling off a 100 from there and a 100 from my FTP account. So thts my plan. I heard tht alot of the ppl dnt even rebuy once they get knocked out cuz who really wants to throw down $450-600 down on a tournament ya know' idk i just need to brushen up my skills cuz i never played live ... $100R At my local town cool i appreciate the help. I heard the field is really weak and there are usually about 60-70 ppl who enter. Im coming in with about $450 so tht covers buyin, obv the first rebuy when i start, and the add on at the end of the first hour. I want to have a extra buyin just incase i get donked out which i highly doubt. $100R At my local town / So i plan on playing there on Feb 11th and want to have atleast about $350 or $450 to be able to play this tourny. It seems like the field is gonna b pretty weak so im really excited for it. This is gonna b my first ever live tourny so what should i expect and look for. Finallyyyyyyyy Finally made a Final Table in the $4.40 2r1a after many times of falling short in 18th, 30th, 27th. Came out in 6th. puttin in volume This is sound like a really dumb but i really dnt care lol I hear ppl say the more volume u put in the better. 794 ppl, 18th $4.40 2R1A So there is about 20 ppl left and im chip leader. Average stack is about 10BB so everybody is pretty short. I pick up AA on the Button and an MP shoves and i obv call. He flips over 77 i fist pump away. Till he makes quads on the flop =( I lose bout 70% of my stack. A few hands later i pick up AKs and shove from MP and i get called from the SB with 23s. He hits a 3 on the flop and i cnt improve so i bust out in 18th. Im starting to notice a big change in my game as i am starting to have alot of good finishes. Grinding some SNG Im looking to grind some SNG for a set profit but i really dnt understand the math behind finding out what x amount u make profit over x amount of games played. Example like tht guy boku who made a 100 br into 10000 in 15 days i believe. I dnt want something tht outrageous but i wanna be able to make a consistent profit.
