Basketball monday @ Atlantis
10 am monday morning, there should be a bunch of guys running full on the outdoor courts. I brought a ball etc so we should be good, all are welcome.

Basketball in Vegas for the WSOP
If you want to stay healthy and get some exercise this summer in vegas, a bunch of people will be playing basketball at the 24 hour fitnesses on off days or after we bust from tournaments. Feel free to get a membership and join us. Hit me up if you have any questions.

Staying Physically active in Vegas AKA pickup basketball
FYI there is a 24 hour fitness on the corner of Tropicana and Decatur with a decent indoor basketball court. I have assembled a list of like 20-30 guys to run pickup games throughout the week when we are not in Tournaments. I am thinking like 7-10 on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for people who are not in tournaments on those days.... Hit me up if you have any questions....

Mark, with stacks here I prefer flatting the UTG raise with QQ rather than 3 bet and considering folding with what is essenially a 27 bb stack next hand.... I know it seems results oriented maybe, but I just think flatting disguises your hand and you can let action play around and if everyone folds, have position postflop with QQ...sounds good to me :)

Chris is not opening atc. Jeff's range is not any two cards to start. I 4bet to 106k and chris had like 220 total so hes never gonna think he has FE. If Jeff had folded and the 5 bet is back to me for only 114k more(since jeff had chris covered by like 46k) I obv would have to call even though in my mind I still know that Chris is not doing this light against me. Call me crazy but I think his 5 betting range here is like even equity against QQ. I would give him AK AA KK QQ JJ 1010 and maybe AQ/99. But YOU ARE CHANGING THE HAND! haha I originally posted this hand to laugh at the odds of AA KK and QQ being dealt playing 4 handed and then all three hands hitting sets as well.... Since every1 is focusing on the fold/call by me of the 6 bet jam, let me explain why it is the 100% right fold.... A. Mrdoggy is supertight B. GrampaJeff is not exactly supertight but very solid and his range is clear... C. My initial thought was the 4 bet jam allin and obviously this would have been fine, but I decided to go with like a min 4 bet of Grampas 3 bet. My line looks extremely strong and when Mr doggy snap 5 bet jams with no FE ...

Tendee, This hand was terribly played by me and I appreciate you calling me out on the only weird hand I played all day. My thinking was that he was pot betting on the flop to protect a hand and I was actually calling with top pair to take it away if the proper card came on the turn or the river. Now when the 10h peeled off, completing a gutshot and the FLD i thought there is no way in hell he could put me on a bluff if I check shoved. Now i know it was only like 3k more but there is no reasonable way I could be bluffing here....He called with his set anyway and I look like an absolute ...

Thanks everyone for all the responses and especially for the cEV calculations, stevie and dpottz. This thread was never intended to be a flaming thread as I respect DJK's game a ton. I just think that I see plays like this that press marginal edges for player's tournament lives that are so unneccessary. Although he may pick up a couple bb's, DJK's skill level is high enough that I think he should be picking better spots instead of throwing up a prayer in a BVB situation, just because he doesnt want to play me OOP and bc i may play back at him. interesting thought stevie.....I would say roughly AQ+ 99+ his shove looks so weak to me its retarded... i mean would he really ever shove anything good for 25 bbs vs me' Fkk no, he would raise and try to induce a 3 bet. He clearly didnt want to play OOP but damn thats just so bad.
