Re(2): Give us some ideas on how we should structure our forums Are you kidding' Having the staggerd post threading is what separates the look and feel of this site from all the other crappy forums. Linear threading would make it just as unnavigatable as 2+2. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Over 40,000 americans killed by illegal aliens since 9/11 Right, so this is easy. Something like 47,736 murders have occurred between 9/11 and the end of 2004. I'm having trouble finding numbers for later years. I'll overestimate for you and assume that the trend went up slightly and 15,000 people died in both years. So we get something like 78,000 murders. Its a guesstimate but not too far off. So you think half of the murders committed were committed by illegal immigrants. Thats absurd and obviously wrong. Try again. Posted in: Off Topic |

Re(8): dog the bounty hunter arrested and extradicted to mexico Um, you know we have an extradition treaty with Mexico. There are ways to get criminals back to the country. If Mexico's position is that they don't want people who aren't even law enforcement coming in their country, grabbing people and taking them back across the border that is a reasonable position. Re(1): Making Your College Experience +EV Yeah, don't try to cheat. The technology to catch this stuff is getting better and better. One of the things a lot of schools do now is subscribe to services like which feeds all papers into a database. Meaning papers from previous years, other classes, even papers turned in at other schools are going to show up if its the same one. It really isn't worth the risk, just do the work. In a related note, go to fucking class. Its actually the easiest way to get decent grades. Really. You could do very little of the reading, not spend lots of time studying and still pick up enough in class to ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Re(2): Making Your College Experience +EV 3. ALWAYS have sex in YOUR room. ALWAYS. I can't stress this enough. This greatly reduces the chances of some psycho nutjob broad accusing you of rape, and believe me, there are girls like this. I know of atleast 3 seperate occasions where guys were accused of drunken rape, and it ruined their lives and their college careers. RAPE seems to be the new "in" word for stupid college girls nowadays. Also, ALWAYS wear a rubber, no matter how drunk you are, you stupid fuck. As if I had to tell you that. The chances of catching some sort of gross penis leaking disease go up exponentially when you're ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Re(3): TIGER > FEDERER I shouldn't respond to trolls, but...."A lot of no name barely pros!!!" Come on thats ridiculous. The game is deeper than its ever been right now. And the rest argument is dumb, does anyone think golf is as strenous to play as tennis' If you want to turn the argument around, Tiger can have so, so or iffy days where he gets beat by some of the guys in the field but still win the tournament. Federer has to be better than 7 opponents every day he plays. If he's not, he's gone. But these are sort of silly comparisons. You have to judge dominance by the standards of the sport. Re(9): federer???????? eh, hard to say. Some people would tell you no. Sampras certainly ran into people he had trouble with throughout his career. Courier at one point, Agassi, Rafter. I would be inclined to argue that Federer is just so good that he makes it look like the competition isn't as good. Take Federer away and Roddick probably would have won 5 grand slams by now. There are some good players out there, its just that none of them can really hang with Federer. Maybe if Nadal can keep improving on other surfaces he might be able to rival Federer eventually. I can tell you that I watched Sampras in his ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Re(3): federer???????? This is just wrong. Grass is certainly Federer's best surface and its kind of hard to see Sampras dominating him there. It would have been interesting, probably best to just leave it at that. I never understand when people pull the "you can't mention x in the same sentence until he does the exact same thing" line. Its stupid. Federer can certainly be mentioned with Sampras and a few others as one of the all time great tennis players. If he stopped his career now, he would be number four in all time grand slam titles. He has also been as dominant over a period of time as anyone has ever been. ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Re(4): federer???????? Well they did play one great match on grass where Federer beat Sampras in a 5th set. But Fed was young and Sampras was probably a little past his prime. Sampras was not Roddick. He was a much more dangerous player. He was certainly never as pretty to watch as Federerer, but when he was on, he could be pretty damn unbeatable. Give Federer another 3 years though and he beats Sampras' grand slam record. Posted in: Off Topic |

Re(1): 0.5 Asian + 1.0 Caucasion equals? There is no asian gene. Race isn't biological, its a human construct. Its not like there is some single asian gene you can pass on. Its just a series of physical traits. Now, the answer is that its hard to tell what exactly your kids are going to look like. Some genes are dominant, some are recessive. I think most physical feutures are controlled by multiple genes though. One of the simple ones is eye color. Brown eyes are dominant. That means that if you get two genes from your parents, one for brown eyes and one for blue eyes, your eyes will be brown. For example, my mom had blue eyes. My ... Posted in: Off Topic |

I also like the need to make his ridiculous stories even more over the top. He couldn't just pretend he was going to have a threesome, it had to be a foursome. Screw it, why not a giant orgy with the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders' The only part I do believe about that whole blog is that he is indeed losing huge amounts of money playing poker. Re(2): Your girlfriends "guy" friends Look my straight female friends can be pretty nicely divided into a couple of categories. 1. Girls I really never have been interested in-no attraction or I met them when they were married and however attractive I think they are, doesn't matter. 2. Girls I was interested in at some point but the ship has sailed. I have one friend who I dated when I was 14. I've known her almost half my life at this point. Don't even think of her that way anymore. Others who I did have a thing for but gave up on when I got the message that they weren't interested or shit didn't work out for some reason. Again, ... Re(2): GF breakup, need advice Oh God, not the friends with benefits with ex girlfriend deal. Let me save you the suspense. It doesn't end well. You can't do that with someone you used to date. You sleep with them and then you start have feelings for them again and the whole thing ends up being a giant mess and ends with bad feelings all around. Not worth it. Sometimes you can be friends with an ex, but things need to end on at least a decent note, not with her cheating on you and being sketchy. You don't want to be friends, you just want some. Buckle down. Don't do it. Posted in: Off Topic |

Re(2): GF breakup, need advice No, no, no, no. Look, if this was some kind of one kiss and she felt really bad about it kind of deal then that would be different. If that was true I could even see the point of her not telling you and fucking shit up over something stupid. But, to deny it when you ask is messed up. So is the stuff about her sister actually. Who does that' But this one sounds like bad news. Look, the high school to college thing is tough, a lot changes and with this going on...this is just going to be a mess down the road, just save yourself the trouble and stay broken up. Re(12): Most Dangerous Cities in America? gg reading comprehension. I'm just saying that talking about crime as a "black problem" doesn't make much sense unless you want to look at the underlying conditions that cause crime. And saying "poverty is often linked to crime" and "poor people have a right to comitt crimes" aren't quite the same thing. Do we need to go over that again. Posted in: Off Topic |

Re(2): i have a huge problem Yeah but I know people who have made a fair amount of money playing cash games but choose to mostly play tournaments and only play cash sporadically becuase they find the swings too stressful. Sometimes I think people get the idea they have to show their chops by being great at everything or something and thats stupid. If you are a better tournament player and play cash games badly then stick to tournaments. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
