WSOP has WiFi ?
i really can't imagine them having working wifi in teh tournament area. there are so many people that just stream music and movies on their phones/ipods/ipads/etc. that even normal cell service doens't really work becuase the network is so jammed. the same thing happens with wifi. you can't just have 4k people using the same wifi connection all trying to stream stuff at once. and as cheap as caesars/the rio is with other stuff at the wsop, i can't imagine they woudl invest in anything more than super basic/shitty internet that will not be able to handle all the bandwidth

ya i mean, what you described definitely sounds like he was meaning to fold. and like i said, if i was dealing that game, as soon as he threw those cards forward like that, i would have grabbed them and put them in the muck. however, until they actually do get into the muck, tehy can still be ruled live. at a home game, if the guy says he didn't wnat to fold, i would probably say, ok fine, you dind't fold, but next time dont' do that, cause we all thought you folded

yes, the person who threw their cards forward is definitely incorrect/dumb/whatever u want to call them. i'm not arguing, i just don't really get what point you're trying to make. you're saying that the person who put their cards too far forward is taking an unnecessary/dumb risk...and yes, you are correct. but that has nothing to do with what the OP is asking about whether or not the cards are live or dead

you're def wrong. your hand isn't dead until it touches the muck and is non retrievable. basically, as soon as you throw your cards forward, whether face up or face down, the dealer is supposed to grab them and 'muck' them by immediately touching them to or shoving them into the middle of the pile of mucked cards. as long as those cards are sitting there and not in the pile of muck they're definitely live. also, even if cards are put on top of the muck pile, they can still be considered live if floor rules them 'retrievable'. if the player is like 'oh i wasnt folding i was just trying ...

the wifi def didn't work last year. there may have been 'free wifi' somewhere in the rio near the wsop, but you coulnd't get it at the tables, and when you could get it to connect in the hallways or wahtever it was way too slow to be usable...like, it woudlnt' even load google or anything wsoptd said there was gonna be wifi this year and it was gonna be better...but i'm not holding my breath

i mean, unless there are massive details you're leaving out like it's a winner take all tourney or it's a satellite or the ante is 10x the size of the blinds or something, then 65o is a pretty absurdly easy fold edit: what i mean is, your friend is incorrect, it's not +cEV shove if you're calling correctly

Live 4/8 LHE strategy/resources
if twoplustwo ever comes back check out the limit holdem forums over there but um, ya a live 4/8 game,eek...jsut play tight and get paid. i would guess 4/8 is beatable, i know 2/4 is def not beatable with the rake and bad beat jackpots and whatnot...if you're mkaing money tho just keep it up

Need some help..
i really don't think you could find a way to get away from any of those hands that you posted. Perhaps in the 3rd one you could just call the river raise with JJ, but idk, at these low stakes i would definitelyt hink someone could easily have 2 pair, so ya getting the rest of the money in is def not bad. keep doing what you're doing, watch videos, post hand histories, and keep working on your game. at the lower stakes playing tight is defnitely best and it seems that you are doing that, so that's good. sometimes you lose big pots. it' sgood to look back and see if what you did was correct, ...
