The Walking Dead Season 2 Discussion
Reading some of the articles written about last nights episode, it appears that the general consensus is anti Shane. Am I the only one who identifies with the actions Shane is taking' I can't see any other logical decision than thinking of protecting the human race and that is what Shane is doing. The cast is in a war where there will be casualties. The lines of right and wrong are clearly blurred in a situation when like this, but there are going to be many instances where there is no easy answer. Anyone else have Celiac Disease/Gluten Allergies?
After getting to the point of almost not being able to get out of bed, I found out I had celiac. It progressively got worse throughout my 20s to the point where I could barely work. It absolutely changed my life when I switched to a gluten free diet. The hardest thing is the alcohol intake (most have gluten). I rarely drink now because of that, but well worth feeling good besides that.

It saddens me that such a large showing of American patriotism has been in response to the death of an enemy. We live in an amazingly imperfect world and the actions were both warranted and needed. That being said, since the death of Osama does not end the threat of terrorism, I refuse to celebrate on the basis of vengeance alone. Gin, Don't disagree with any of your points there. I think both of us realize that there is very little likelihood we would reduce the size of the active duty military personnel under any president. Regardless if they are need, I believe the ones that want to stay would be able to. At least we would have the man power to patrol the border.

I've been waiting for 11 days for a OT conservative's review of Atlas Shrugged...
I am a huge Ayn Rand fan. Atlas Shrugged was by far the most important book that I have ever read. That being said, I have not seen it or have any intention of seeing it. I fail to see how a poorly crafted movie invalidates an ideology. I mean Baby Geniuses 2 didn't invalidate brilliant toddlers.

stocks - whats hot and whats not?
Went all cash today except for a small position in puts on HBI today (these problem won't work but im stubborn). Looking more and more like QE2 is going to expire with no immediate continuation into QE3. I think there will be a pull back in equities and commodities. Once home prices continue to fall and inflation is tamed by a strengthening of the dollar, I will go long commodities again and buy some quality (i like VZ but think i can get it cheaper). To be clear, I will buy in anticipation of QE3. If we see QE3 immediately, how high does AAPL go'
