Re(1): Is poker your summer job? Actually Grapsfan, 15% roi used to be reasonable at $200+ in the past because of fewer sit and go tools / a different format / worse players. Namely the speed 200+ on party have decreased roi significantly, which is why people play so many tables to make up for their hourly rate. A reasonable ROI at the speeds 200's is like 5% now. The only person I can think of with a 12% + ROI at the 200's is Curtains who is an absolute master at SNGs. Just my two cents. If you want more info on this matter jump into the 2+2 STT forums. Re(1): Alternate Sng opener I already have the dell 20' and the dell inspiron 1705 laptop with upgraded monitor. The monitors support 1600x1200 resolution and 1900x1200 respectively. That is not the problem, I want a sng opener so I do not have to continue to open up sngs after I finish/lose them. I know I saw another opener other than , but I cant seem to find the link anywhere. Any insight ' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Alternate Sng opener I multitable sit and go's and the new Multi table helper sng opener is buggy / does not work well for me anymore. Are there any alternate sng opener programs that work well, all I need is for the program to open up 4-8 sngs continuously. Thanks in advance. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): sng...party or stars? I disagree, essentially the turbo 215's on stars and the party 215's require a different push/call all in strategy, but nonethless there is strategy, you just have to adjust to the structure. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): 1st Hand of WSOP Main Event.......and KK Sklansky In TFAP argues that its correct to fold in this situation, and for the most part I agree with him... You dont need to lose ont the first hand unless u have aces before the flop. Obviously that is the conservative argument. The +ev in having double the chips that early on for me does not equate to risking your tournament life on the first hand. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Advanced Rebuy Strategy Question I will try that approach, but I think my problem is that in rebuy tourneys I am very impatient (because I play one at a time) and because the nature of the tournaments I want to get alot of money very quickly. I will try to see more flops cheaply with decent drawing hands and post my results.. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Advanced Rebuy Strategy Question I have been looking at the final table rates of all the top players and I have noticed one common link, all seem to do extremely well in the rebuy tournaments and most of their cashes are in rebuy tournaments. I have read up on rebuy strategy, but I never seem to do well in the rebuy tournaments, obviously my performance in the first hour or so is the reason for this, I am willing to have 6-10 rebuys assuming I join the tournament, but I have yet to do well.. Although there are different ways of going about the first hour, what are methods you have found to be successful ' Is there a ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

A question to the players that play an abundance of $100+ events Do you try to qualify for these events even though it does not affect your bankroll to buyin directly ' How often do you buy in and how often do you try to satelite ' Im at the point in my poker bankroll where I can play the higher buyin events without any harm to it, but I was just wondering how most of you approach this.. Thanks in advance. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Question about WPT seat on POKERSTARS I have a followup question to this. I am 18 and want to qualify for the PCA event in Atlantis, in the terms and agreement it says you can play if you 18 but if you win, you have to be 21 by the time the wpt championship comes on, what the hell does that mean, anyone care to explain the policy to me ' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(5): Online Vs. B&M Tournies Sorry to double post, but I thought this should be separate, YOU WANT TO PLAY DONKEY'S. You do not want to play against experienced, aggressive players that will push you around, you want to be the most experienced player at the table so YOU can push them around. I think many times people play just as bad in person as online, even at the higher buy ins, it all depends. Also I think Steve D. got extremely lucky to get second, as I thought he was not a very good player. He just lacked the insight to make key laydowns and was too focused on his stupid little notes (imo he was a donkey, I would ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(4): Online Vs. B&M Tournies Absolutely, I love to talk poker with anyone and everyone (especially since no one at my school will play poker for more than ten dollars). Im 19, so I have never played in any vegas tournaments, but have played in several tournaments at the hard rock casino and won 5k in one of their $75 tournies. Recently online I made my biggest tournament cash to date for 3rd in a 400 wpt final event and won 7k, I made a deal because I realized you could not sell the wpt seat, which I intended to do. Now I have been playing all $50+ tournaments as well as being an sng player (I dont like cash games). If ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Online Vs. B&M Tournies Ill give a go at what I think the problem is: A) The B&M have smaller fields and thus it is easier to get to the final table B) Lower buy in events online are extremely difficult to do well in because of the immense fields and all the bad players that you go up against. You want to play against bad players, but with 700 of them and you, its going to be difficult to get to the top. C) Maybe your especially good at reading players, and thus the B&M casino tourney's bring out the best in your skills D) It seems like you have a self defeating prophecy for yourself when you play online, regardless ...
