Do you fold AA on this flop? I dont know that I am a fan of shoving pre as the villans calling range will be extremely tight and we lose all value...plus its hard to say oh this is a shove pre when you dont know how the hero has been playing up until this point or how often villan has been opening button....I think we raise MORE pre for value for sure and this also helps polarize his calling range.... but other then AJ or KQ I dont see him flatting any other hands to a 3-bet for concern, unfortunately with the preflop 3bet sizing he could have ATC...so all in all raise more pre or check fold this flop!!! well played if ... Shoving ATC.... As a general rule I try to find a spot prior to getting to the 6-8 BB level and you certainly should be shoving before 3 BB...Not saying names but I saw a top 100 reg shoving K8 with 11 bb left from the highjack so there is definately a method to the madness...just wish I could catch it on! Shoving ATC.... I am trying to patch a possible leak in my game and wanted some thoughts....as a general rule at what effective BB stack are you shoving ATC from the SB when folded to once antes kick in and does the antes in a 6 MAX in comparison to a 9 max differ this opinion''' For example: Last night I was playing the 26$ 6 max 196 left top 106 pay it folds to me with 5200 to start the hand at 200/400/50 and I was dealt 103 suited are we shoving here into a 7k stack or folding and looking for a better spot' Thanks!!! Cash Game Q On top of being table/player dependent I think you also have to take into consideration the level of play @ micro stakes the properly rolled individual may be calling you much lighter then at the higher stakes who has to evaluate your play more... or rephrased a 30 dollar raise is going to have more volume then a 3 dollar raise Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Cash game micro stakes question..... Don't have the HH as I am at my office but was having a discussion with 1 of my friends and wanted opinions.....he states that I am losing Value here by nt just 5 betting but I thought @ the level I am playing that a 5 bet shove here was the best play thoughts'''' Hand: So I have AA in the small blind @ a .10/.25 table with $25 behind it folds to the button who makes it .85 to go...I repopped him to $2.75...bb folds and button tanks and raises to $8 I now have $22.25...IMO I thought at this level the chances he has air or any concept of meta game as I have been running over the table is slim ... I need a mental boost.... Ok I have been griding .25/.50, .50/1, and .10/25 over the last several months...over the last 2 nights I have put in more volume then ever before(which is not a ton) but 550 hands Sunday night and 1050 last night...anyways the reason for the post over the last 7 sessions I have had I only profited 1 out of 7 when I look at PTR I am GRADED an A at .10/.25, a B+ at .25/.50 and B+ at .50/1 overall...I dont understand how I could be playing optimally at all three levels and losing money...I feel I am by far 1 of the superior players at this level but constantly lose...I have been outdrawn by 2 ... 88 late in a 5 dollar 6 max and FYI Gags is hypo aggro....ultimately u 3 bet here to what 25kish on a dry flop your betting what 35kish on the flop...I dont like 3 betting here at all with the other big stack obv the shorter stacks In would consider 3 bet here all day with intent to call a 4 bet but against the big stack...SMALL BALL POKER ALL DAY! Help settle an arguement PLEASE!!!! Ok so last night a friend of mine was in the 5 dollar 6 max on stars...I dont have the HH as it is not my account but I can describe the scenerio pretty well..... Blinds are 500/1000 He was on next to the Button with 99 and his stack was roughly 22k the short stack who is basically irrevelant in the hand and on the button has 3k and the Villian in this hand is in the big blind blind with 58k and has been running 55/40(very hyper aggro and has called all ins with KJ and raised with k3, he has also shipped it in on atleast 3 occasions) Anywhoo, My friend opened the action to 2600 the ... Re:Wire Transfer Fee...who's charging this???? Ok for all with the same delimma I have sum answers...FTP does not charge the fee nor does your bank recieving the funds...there is a middle man included in this transfer a 3rd party payment processor..in my cxase a Standard Charter'd Bank of New York....anywhoo they assessed the fee but will not discuss with me as they only deal with Bank personel...Oh well lesson learned I guess timely isnt always the best next time I will be requesting a check...VERY SAD! Wire Transfer Fee...who's charging this???? I cashed out 1300 dollars for sum upcoming expenses over the last week in 2 increments 500 1 time and 800 the next both times they assessed a $47.88 fee...WTF!!! Anyone know whether this is a bank issue or a FTP issue' Posted in: Poker Discussion |
