Re:Is anyone actually happy about paying your neighbors mortgage?
Another very valid point on the foreclosures,Firm. The more these occur, the more values will continue to drop. GL to you sir.

Re:Is anyone actually happy about paying your neighbors mortgage?
This is weird for me as I am a staunch republican. We bought our house in 2004 in Massachusetts when things were booming and did so with a standard 5% down payment and a 30 yr fixed mortgage. The home appraised for $354k at the time, and we got it for $339k. We refid once in 2005,took out $10k to pay off some bills and some small improvements and have been in the same loan for the last 4 yrs or so. So here we are in 2009 and according to my house in worth $302k.In those 4yrs my taxes have been raised twice and my home owners insurance has gone up once.It is a struggle, but we make it happen ...

Advice / Thoughts appreciated.
Been on a break from the game for a number of reasons. Played in a local tourney yesterday that I've had some success in before.Have finished first twice in 8 times playing, and cashed on two others. A very critical hand is posted below. $100 buy in.27 players. We started with 4k,and are now at $100/$200 soon to be $200/$400. I am on the bb with about $4000 after posting. First to act limps, he has alot of chips and although I've never played with him,he appears solid, talks as if he plays alot. Tight/solid player on button calls..Rookie on small blind completes. I am dealt 10 / 5 off ...

EP-A/J is a fold. Late position,I will limp. Maybe a leak, but I am popping A/Q almost evertime, regardless of the stage. I will often fold it early facing a raise.

Financial Advise...
So my wife's mom's house went under agreement last week. Her mom indicated she wanted to give my wife and her 3 brothers $30k apiece after the closing. I'm really torn on what to do with the cash. Our money situation is okay, but not great by any stretch. We have a son and alot of bills per month. The 2 options I've laid out are: 1) pay off $13k on a credit card, and pay off my truck $8k,and bank the leftover $10k or so,and acually have a real savings account for once in my life. That would free up about $500 per month. OR 2)Pretend I never got the money, invest it,and see ...

I'm not a fan of the pf limp.. leyton could easily be pushing any 2, I would think. cdawgs all in screams of a mid pp,maybe A/K .. I think its a call this late in the tourney.. with small blinds early on I may look to fold and pick a better spot.
