Re(7): Imper1um + Chris Vaughn.......lame interview part 1 I agree that a videotaped interview would've been the best, but I imagine that wasn't logistically possible. This seems like the second best way of handling it to me. Had he "written the story on his own", then everyone would be wondering what he left out, how he changed it, if he sugar-coated it. People can then make up their own minds on whether they are sincerely apologetic or not, or whether their answers sound rehearsed. I'm also disappointed that Sorel came across really badly. Re(1): Idiot runs his mouth in local newspaper - How should I respond? Hi SCTrojans. I haven't read all the replies yet, but I know how this crap gets. After the Aussie Millions, Jimmy had lots of stuff written about him and did a couple of interviews for our local papers. We live in a pretty conservative, churchy area so there was definitely a backlash to the publicity. I chose to not respond to the negativity because "those people" already have their minds made up so it wouldn't matter what I would say. In the meantime a few other strangers wrote in to say how cool it was what Jimmy accomplished, so that helped. I know it's not easy, and you WANT to set them ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
