Re:Why is a WSOP bracelet so important?
The bracelets in the other events are a statistic that allows you to figure out who the best of the best is. Phil Hellmuth is said to be the "best" Holdem Tourney player because he has 11 WSOP braclets in Holdem. Without the bracelets, you would have nothing to shoot for that shows you are the best. I am sure that there are players out there who have more Holdem tourney wins than Hellmuth, but because he has showed up and won 11 times at the biggest event of the year, he is often regarded as the best. To me, the bracelets are what makes the WSOP the WSOP. It makes it the most ...

Re:What the hell happened to Bodog?
I don't know why people have trouble depositing with Bodog. I used my debit card to deposit on to the site 3 weeks ago. Did 3 deposits and was some of the easiest deposits I had ever made to a poker site. I also like the fact that they have a phone number that I can call and actually talk to someone if I have a problem. I know the traffic is bad, but there is still money to be made. I lost my first 2 $20 deposits quick, but with my 3rd one, I have currently have a bankroll of $1925. If more people would give it a shot Bodog rewards the players. 2 days last week the $12 rebuy went above ...

Re:Tunica, MS hotel options?
Gold Strike, ask for the poker player rate and it is 50 a night on the weekends and 30 weekdays. Gold Strike is the best hotel in Tunica, plus good cash games in the 1/2 or 2/5 NL For the limits that you want, walk next to the Horseshoe they have the highest limits for cash games, I think they run 10/20 and 20/40 on the weekends.

Bodog Poker Open 3
Don't know if this is repost, but has anyone seen the bodog poker open 3 schedule. Looks like they have adopted the 3 level like stars and full tilt have. They have a mini-bounty level, a mid-stakes level and a championship level. Here is the link for anyone that hasn't seen it yet. Bodog Poker Open 3

Re:Tunica
It is a little different per each guard that you go by. You may get one that just glances, one that is hardcore and then one that may just let you on through. But once you get through, most of the pokerrooms want to see your player card before playing and to get one you must present your i.d. Also if you play a tournament and cash for over 600 dollars you might have to fill out a 1099, which would require your ssn card and id. You I would say you can try it, but expect not to get to play.

Re:70% believe its ok to cheat
so you don't believe in giving people a second chance to prove themselves. ZeeJustin did something wrong and paid the price, but given up all of his money on the sites and being banned for 3 years. I am sure that you have done something in the past that was probably not right and given a 2nd chance.

Re:My tunica trip sucked
Tunica is so awesome. I can not believe that you hated it. Did you go the Horseshoe' They have 2/5 NL and also ran 20/40 limit about 3 weeks ago when I was down there. Tunica will also comp you for everything. You don't have to pay for anything while there. Tunica is such a great place to spend a weekend. I can't wait until my next trip.

Re:Adding Kill or Half Kill tables on Full Tilt's LH
In Tunica, at the 3/6 Omaha High/Low tables it is a half kill for any one that wins a pot over 50 I think. It is not for winning 2 hands in a row, the kill is put in place after you win a certain size pot. The person winning the hand puts in 6 preflop, basically like a forced straddle.

Re:At the 'LOW" Level, which SCOOP events are you most looking forward to playing?
#2 - Pot Limit Omaha High/Low #3 - Pot Limit Five Card Draw #8 - $33 NL Holdem - 2 Day Event #9 - Triple Draw 2-7 #12 - 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo #13 - Razz I will definitely be playing these events. May add some on at the end if I have a good showing in some of these events. I love to play different games and any of the $20 or below events I give a run. Really looking forward to the games.

Re:Should I have folded here?
Thanks guys for all of the input. I can see how limping in this spot can save you chips, but that is not a play that I personally like to make. My main question is after my standard raise, and then the villains quick push, is it more profitable long term to fold my tens and wait for a better spot to get it all-in. If I fold I still have around 80 big blinds left. I am trying to forget that this is a 2 dollar tournament, I'm trying to figure out if long term I would be better off waiting for a better spot to try and double up in. 80 big blinds at 300 and 600 is still alot of play. In a 50 ...

Thanks for the input fromnowon. I can't seem to get these hands to hold up on Stars, which is one reason I can't go deep on the site. I've won tournaments on other sites, just never on Stars. Just looking for some reassurance that I was doing the right thing.

Re:10 days till my tunica trip. where should i play!
Yeah, I second don't go over to Harrah's. Was just there and decided to register for a tournament. Went back to play and only 17 signed up and they paid 5 spots. only 2 cash tables going and this was on a friday. No action at Harrah's. Lots of good action at Gold Strike and Horseshoe. If you want to play a good turbo MTT go to Sam's Town. They have 70 dollars MTT but you only get 3500 in chips. Pretty fun and goes by quick. Valentine's Day they got 90 in a MTT that started at 7:00

Re:Home Tournament Poker Play
I run a home poker game and run into alot of the same problems. For Situation 1, I believe that since a hand has played out, the only option is to play on and let the guy miss his big blind, you cannot go back and correct this mistake. SO go with C for situation 1. For the 2nd situation, I believe you have alot of options here. If the game is friendly and played amongst friends, you can let him get cards back out of the muck if you know for sure which two cards are his and play on. If the player has a habit of doing this, then I would just say cards are dead you have been warned. To me if ...

Re:My internet goes out everytime the phone rings... WTF???
are you using DSL' If so, you probaly don't have your DSL Filters setup correctly. You might have a phone hooked up into the dsl part of the filter so where or the phone line running into the DSL Modem is plugged into the phone side of the DSL filter. If using DSL, check all filters. I had this same problem once before and that is what fixed it. I had a phone hooked into the DSL part of my filter.

Re:Witnessing great moments in sports history
Nothing ever seems to happen at the games that I attend, but I was at the 1998 Football game where N.C. State beat Florida St. for the first time. It was only the 2nd time that Florida State was beat in ACC play, so for the fans in attendance it was history in the making. Chris Weinke threw 6 interceptions. The place was rocking.

in the live games in tunica at the no limit tables you can straddle for what ever amount that you want. I think they call it a Mississippi straddle. I think everywhere else it is double the big blind.

Re:Top 5 All-Time Teams I hate
Ok I live in North Carolina so here are my teams: 1. Dallas Cowboys - When I was young the only two teams on TV every Sunday was Dallas and Washington Redskins. I went with the Skins. We only got 3 channels here in the '80s. It was a long decade. 2. UNC Tarheels - I went to N.C. State, so this should speak for itself. 3. Duke Blue Devils - When you live in ACC country you can only pick one team. 4. Carolina Panthers - I have hated them since they came into this state. They took Washington off the local channels to promote them. So I had to get NFL Sunday Ticket just to watch my ...

I agree .400 is the hardest thing to do in sports. It would be awesome to see him bat .400 for the season, but I would really like to see him win the batting title more than anything. I agree with slugger Chipper is one of 2 favorite braves along with John Smoltz. Both could have went somewhere else over the years but love Atlanta so much they decided to stay with the Braves.

Well I live in Western North Carolina, and the local news never ran anything on him. I never knew of him before the draft. When I saw that he was projected to be a first round pick, I looked at numbers and saw how good he was. I know he put up numbers at WCU, and left early. but being from the same area, I was never aware of him. Just saying he was a player that put up numbers that was not seen in college on the big screen of ESPN.
