Facing an overshove on FT bubble
I guess it all comes down to what matters more to you, making the final table or going for the win. If this player has done this a few times, he realizes that seat 1 is sitting out. With only 10k chips left, he's shoving pots to just pick up the blinds and antes to try and chip up quick. In my mind, he's taking advantage of the fact that the rest of you see a very small stack sitting out and you are all going to fold just to make the final table. I'm always going for the win so I make this call. You are ahead of his range and I think you will find that a large % of the time you have him ...

Try posting there. You will find people that are in the same position you are. I miss online poker just like everyone else but I don't really want to deposit on a site that has so many problems.

Live Tells
If the board comes 3 to the flush (especially on the flop) and the player looks down to check his cards and remains in the hand, he's got a decent one of that suit and will be chasing the flush.

Merge and Bovada (Bodog) Deposits & Cashouts
Tried depositing on Merge (Hero Poker) Visa - Nope Cash Transfer - denied. I just called Western Union and cancelled it. Not going to bother trying if it's that much of a hassle.

Live MTT hand end of day 1 - did I call too light?
I can see why it's a borderline decision with only a few hands left and a short stack not wanting to come in with an even shorter stack in comparison with the blinds the next day. But imo 77 is just too weak from mp. There are still so many hands behind you that could reshove on you then what will you do' I would prob play 10-10+ from here but reshove to iso the original shover since his range will be lighter with the eod near.

First, I want to say thanks for all of the input you guys have given. It definitely is interesting to see many different points of view. As played, the result happened like this: He came over the top. I knew that I was going to make a stand with this hand because I felt this player was one that would be willing to make a move on me because he felt I could lay down good hands. Not to mention, getting 2:1 on my money, I knew I had to make the call if I was going to lead out on the flop. Would it change anything if I said this player viewed me as a strong player and even commented on it while at the table. He's seen me lay down hands after being the pre-flop aggressor so do you think that played into his mind when making the move' The tournament was a $125 bounty tournament. $25 for every player that you knock out and rest to the main pot. Does this play into the pscyhological aspect of things' Answer as to what happened will shortly follow. I'm liking the feedback so far though!

Live Hand at Mohegan Today, WWYD?
Played a tourney this morning at Mohegan and keep replaying a hand in my head as to what I should / could have done. Blinds are 200/400 with 50 ante. We start with 8,000 chips and I'm sitting with about 15,000. On the button, it gets folded around to me. Look down to see QJos. I do a standard 3x raise to 1200. SB folds and the BB calls. Reads on BB. He showed up late and played tight the entire time (for about an hour of play). The only hand I saw him show is when 2 limpers played into his BB and he checked with A-5os. How long do poker slumps last?
I've been in a major slump for the last 8 months. It is starting to wear on my game and now I'm second guessing myself everytime. Deep in tournies I'm getting cracked underpair vs my overpair. Or even when guys are begging to give me their money when I'm a 95% favorite, here is a situation. I'm not even surprised either... do you normally take time off if you've been in such a downswing' It seems like I can never win any races and only a percent of the time I can win when I'm dominating when the money goes in. I'm on my second round of P90x. You should be seeing results, it's probably your diet. You need to be strict with yourself on it and give it everything you have every workout. I started out at 13% body fat (5'11 165) and down to around 6% body fat. I have a photo journal up on my facebook page that I could post if you wanted to see some results that you can get. I do drink a few beers a week but the results are still there if you are eating right. How much sodium are you eating a day'

Vegas Deals / Hotels?
Hey guys. I'm going to be heading out to Vegas on June 11th to play in the $1k event on Saturday. Playing in a WSOP event is on my bucket list and I figured I might as well do it before I get married, kids, etc. My buddies and I are looking for either a site with good deals or what the better hotels to stay at are. We want to go bar hopping and take in all Vegas has to offer since I have never been there before. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

How about when you are on the bubble of a sit n go and you're one of the shorter stacks. The big stack is on your left so when he's on the button, you're in the big blind. He always raises on the button/your big blind but when you fold on the button and he's in the small blind, he doesn't raise the other guy's big blind and just folds giving the other guy free chips. So annoying.

Maybe it's just me, but how are you really supposed to calculate this at the table - equity %' I mean you can do the math on the number of outs you have for the worst case scenerio. Perhaps I'm extremely dumb when it comes to math and if you could let me know how to calculate it when I'm at the table and in the moment I would appreciate it. Thanks

Thanks everyone. Well I put a small deposit on bodog about a month ago and worked it up. Got 4th place about 2 weeks ago in a $10k tourney for $800. Built that stack up through cash games and other tourneys. Satty'd into the 100k with tourney dollars and cashed there. But this is the first outright win that I did since redepositing. My biggest win on bodog was winning the $40k guarantee a couple of years back, seems like it's been forever though!

Finally got a win under my belt
Bodog $32+3 $2k Guarantee turbo for $681 I have been coming up short a lot lately and it's nice to finally get the win. I know it's not a huge score but I'm happy with it.

I just got back from Chicago on business. Unfortunately, didn't have much free time, but I would recommend checking out the Sears tower. They have this class case protruding out from the top of the building. So when you walk out and look down, you cannot see the building behind you - pretty scary stuff I hear. One restaurant I wanted to check out but didn't get a chance to was Graham Elliot's. / Next time I go to Chicago, I'm definitely going to stop by here.
