Quick Cev Question How many chips are needed when looking to make a +Cev decision' For instance: I have 4500 chips with blinds 150/300+25. I'm at a very loose table in LP where raise folding is -99 chips. Raise calling is +18 chips if I'm 41% vrs. villians reshove range. So I understand I can RC with hands like 22+,A5o+,Kto+,QJo+,A2s+,K9s+, and on average increase my stack by 18 chips. Is gaining 18 chips when I have a 4500 stack worth it to make this raise call' If it's not enough chips at what point should I look to make this RC' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Way to go CEREUS! Random thought from a UB fan: What happened to double rebuys and double addons' Why not keep leaderboard on bottom left hand corner' Why not keep the blind levels at the top of the window' If you can't rebuy with the get chips button (now use table options), Why is there still a get chips button that's just faded' Could they not figure out how to remove it, Or is it a highlight of thier new bulkier, slower, unstreamlined design. Re:Small stakes player needs help adjusting to higher stakes players Thanks for the responses. Giving up on flop makes alot of sense once I see texture of board. At the time I said that's a fun flop for me, and just watched my hand instruct the mouse to bet. In the heat of the moment finding a disconnect from my emotions that are all screaming bet bet bet is a constant struggle for me. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Small stakes player needs help adjusting to higher stakes players This hand took place close to the money bubble of the UB $130 buy in. Looking back I am wondering if shoving preflop would have been the best line. As played I know it was bad, but when he called my cbet on such a scary board I put him on an underpair and thought I had a good shot to win if i shoved. I really thought a Q, or overpair would reraise to protect his hand. I think Will made a good call and would love some insight as to how he did it so I can make the same type of calls in the future. I think this hand reveals some leaks in my game that I need to fix before i can be succesful ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:good players, advice please I would bet less maybe 1/2 or 3/4 pot on flop. The pot bet doesn't seem that strong to me and you could get same info for less chips. I like a check behind on turn when you get the draw, especially since you don't seem to have any fold equity after his call. With the big bet on turn I can't think of what you are representing that he would call flop with and fold to turn bet to. I wouldn't put you on the flush and you seem to have no fear of a flush as played. So it seems like a very weak line. If he was calling with a flush draw then the turn helped him. Just my two cents Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:A Big Thank You to Everyone Great Job Annie!! I think the only thing missing is adding some guarntees to the midstakes tournies. Specifically the 30 and 40 deepstacks and the late night 6max. I hope that you will add some 3K to 6k guaranteed non turbo > $40 buy in mtts. It is very nice to have a >300 person field. These types of MTTS combined with UB's great structure have kept me playing despite all of the negatives. The players that play these above mentioned tournies are your most valuable assets IMO. Re(3): Hand from this morning's FTP 7k. Call or Fold? I'm assuming this is a $24+2 buy in. So with no reads I think villians range is much bigger than a missed draw when u check. That being said against a decent player I like your analysis. I think I would bet the river against a solid player since there are hands hero is ahead of that would otherwise check it down. I probably would only have bet little more than half pot on turn if was going to take a stab. not an expert, g5 Posted in: Poker Discussion |
