 You actually did misplay the hand.  All of you saying "the end result was good so who cares" are being results oriented.  You didn't ripen the pot with a premium hand, donks would love to get their money in with all sorts of hands early on so you didn't maximize your potential (again don't be results oriented), and yes the way it was played he should only show up with a set once you guys get it in.  His play was bad, but so was yours. I'm just trying to answer your question as to why you might have been berated.  GL

Quick side question to those saying Fold Pre... I understand the raiser is tight from what OP says but he min-raised and were in the small blind with 30 BB. Is this a fold pre' If it is I set mine in these situations too much then.

I believe with the amount of his raise and the strength of your hand the call should have been made more like in 0.5 seconds. But I'm not sure this is off the top of my head I haven't run any numbers yet.
