Well, at least it sounds like she knows what she's talking about. I have contacted two congressmen from Michigan, Levin and Stupak and have ZERO support for either one of these two. What frustrates me more then this is that the only Michigan representative to sign on as a co-sponsor for any of this legislation is Conyers. It's ironic that with the unemployment rate so high in Michigan and auto companies getting BILLIONS from the government, when a legitamate opportunity to generate tax income comes up, these SOB's don't do anything!!!

Would be fun to watch, but basically having one punk calling another punk a punk, makes me laugh. What I hope they do is keep these posts and read them in 10 years and realize how stupid they sound. Scott, Well at least you got a good response. I personally don't mind that states pass laws for these types of things (even though I think it is crap). I hate the fact that the federal government effectively are using PROHIBITION to take away our rights. State laws are much easier to change and Lee Russo will make that happen. If states make things illegal at least you can move to another state. I'd move to another state if I wanted to play bad enough but who the hell wants to leave the country!!

These people piss me off everytime I hear them talk. It is PROHIBITION period. It didn't work in the 20's and won't work today. What I would rather this piece of shit say is, I understand that US Goverment had to pay billions because we didn't support the WTO and I understand we are losing billions every year because we don't regulate and tax. Maybe something personal we don't know about, but I would think as many tournies as some people play bound to be runner runner bad beats often. I'd say don't read to much into it. I thought this was a very good post also. Being 21 (younger at the time) definately allows for some mistakes. I hope people let go and move on from this one. For those that don't, oh well, most will think differently in X amount of years. I would think that if you play online poker like you play live poker, most of these situations wouldn't come up. Seems simple...but maybe not when you're 16-24 and have a chance to make life changing money.

I think over turning state laws is going to be a lot more difficult then over turning the Federal Government position. Case in point is the Lottery. States are allowed to differ ... that is what America is Supposed to be about. That way if you don't like it, you can move to a different state, not a different country. I hope for both..but right now I hope the Federal Government allows me to keep my rights. I'll gladly move to a different state.

Johnny I wish you luck getting it together. What I ABSOLUTELY HATE is for someone (US Government) telling me what I can and can't do in the comfort of my home. Just a guess, but I would think that they DON'T HAVE US banks. Why would they' Everytime you take money back you pay taxes on something the US government doesn't want to let you do. SCREW THEM!!! Get a bank in Europe with an ATM card, etc... and you're all set. Then when they're up 200K or 300K, just send it to that bank.

I have also written my congressman and senators. Congressman Stupak and Senator Levin. Both sent back e-mails that essentially stated 'I do not support gambling'. I've written both mentioned above at least a dozen times, now I don't even get a resonse. These two are ANTI INTERNET GAMBLING PERIOD.
