Re:Help me range this villain He likes the action and is playing virtually any 2 cards that look good to him. He most likely is not even thinking about what cards his opponents hold. His range is wide open. Avoid fancy play syndrome vs this guy. Solid hands should be profitable vs him. In other words, play boring straight forward poker should yield the best results. Re:I hate whores Finding a good single woman in Vegas might be impossible. I am sure there are a few, but it would have to be like finding a needle in a haystack. However, if you put in about 25% of the effort you use to improve your poker game to find a good woman, you will be fine. Explore interest you have that will tend to involve a high % of quality women. It could be as simple as helping with charities, working out, or some outdoor sport. You might want to start with women that have careers that focus on helping others. Doctors, nurses and teachers might be a good start. After you sober up you may ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Re:whats my range? Based on your description of his activity, he can be holding just about any 2 cards until he flats. When he flats, he has to have something that will play well post flop like a suited connector, pp or a decent but not great Ace. Based on his flop reraise allin, he can easily be holding Ah-10h, Ah-Jx, KhQh, 7-8s, 5-6, 55 or 66. I think these are his most likely holdings, although he could be getting frisky with 77,88 or 99 as well. Hope you faired well! I hope you had JJ or 10-10. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Experienced Omaha cash game players need your help please... When you see a 5 way (reraised pre) flop in PLO, bottom set is not very good. With the action on the flop of a pot bet and a call, you will likely be up against a bigger set and a wrap/flush draw. Definite fold situation even at .05-.10. You are at best coin flipping and most likely drawing to a runner runner club flush or the last 5 in the deck. Fold and find a much better spot to get your money in at those levels. Re:Cell Phone use in Aruba? I had a cell phone tossed in for free with my car rental. All I had to do was buy a pre-paid phone card at any gas station and they would load it up for me. I spent maybe $25 for the entire week and made a bunch of local and international calls. We rented our car at Aruba Royal. Have fun! Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Meh girl help ot She is definitely not relationship material. This type of behavior of hers will not change. She is in constant need of male attention and will do whatever it takes to get it. Discontinue dating her unless you can remove all feelings. If you want to help a fellow OT'r send her to buchiYAYO. He can use a little more lovin before his stint in the big house. Re:From broke to rich via Wccop? Stories anyone? I won a $1500 WSOP entry by winning the P5s League in 2006 as well as a $10k ME Seat via a freeroll satty on Pshare. I knew I had to play the P5s seat and wanted to just take the $10k from Pshare , but I had to play it. I ended up cashing both tournaments for just over 50k combined. Sattying into the WCOOP and other large events is a great way to take shots at large buyins outside your BR or comfort zone. I hope you take one down! Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Does anyone not go broke here ? This hand plays a lot different online than live. A $25 pop re-raise at the 1-2NL level online means your JJ is almost never good. Live a $25 preflop bet means a lot less. Since mossified84 is a solid reg, insta fold pre is best. However if I did click call and saw the flop with my JJ, I would almost never fold. Re:Your reaction on your first 4 or 5 figure online tourney win As a micro-satty player, I normally have to win 2 or 3 tournaments in order to get to play the one with the big payday. My first 4 figure score was a trip to Aruba. I have had some bigger succes since that first score but it remains the most exciting win I have had to date. Looking back, my reaction was pretty funny. I woke my wife up to tell her I won. It was about 2am and she gets up at 5am to get ready for work. I chased her around the room until I finally caught her, laid there for about another 30 minutes after wide awake and chased her around again. I was so excited I couldn't ... Re:Omaha hi specialists. Your opinion please: Looks like a great opportunity for you when you can put your opponents on QQxx-AAxx. Chipinsky's reraise preflop tells me he has AAxx and you know rockchalkrick is just waiting for a big pair to shove his stack in the middle so QQxx and up makes sense for him as well. Tieva's play is the only one that would concern me with your hand since he limps over half his stack. He is probably 50/50 on a big pair or big draw hand. I think you can safely put Chipinsky and rock on big pair hands. Since you know that chipinsky has AAxx by his preflop action, is he likely to spew off chips if he ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

He should have asked you how much you would be giving him if Abe was in one of your two boxes and give you that amount. Which we know is zero. Re:$3-6 NLH Tough spot/looking for thoughts Thanks for the input so far. Here were my thoughts and the results. I believe it was a marginal situation where I was slightly +EV or -EV. In other words the only horrible play by me would be the call imo. I felt I needed to shove or fold. In trying to determine if my shove would be profitable, I assigned odds to the hand ranges that I put on castroper5. Obviously these %s are completely guestimates on my part. 5% of the time I thought he would be bluffing and fold 50% of the time he has AA-QQ without a diamond 30% of the time he has AA-QQ with a diamond 7.5% of the time he has ... Re:Help me find a wine that I would like. Check out this site as they rate wines. / These are the ratings that liquor stores/restaurants will post. You should be able to match up your budget with the type of wine that is rated well. Here is a list of inexpensive quality wines. Here is the complete list that will include vintage wines. $$$$$ As a wine noob, I have always enjoyed using this tool to make sure I get something of good value. They even have an application for an iphone or PDA. Edit: Just checked and this service is no longer free...may just want to ask the clerk at the liquor store and look for wines with a rating ... The premise is he finds someone at the Whole Foods Grocery and teaches them how to make some killer meals. Here is a link and it includes all the recipes from his Emeril Green shows. I have made about 6 or 7 meals from the show and they have all come out great! / Posted in: Off Topic |

Re:$100 too $2000 Play what you are good at winning. If you excel in cash games play those. If you are a sng specialist play those. I would avoid huge field MTTs that cost more than 1% of your br. This is not as hard as it may first appear if you are able to maintain discipline and focus. It is definitely not automatic either like Graps pointed out. Best of Luck! I look forward to following your progress. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
