I certainly do not intend to defend stealing, but this assumption is not correct. If he had won with the money and Stars was not able to draw the funds from his bank, they would not pay the winnings. The reality is that what the OP did by depositing in the manner that he did is to play on credit. You can do this in a real casino too. In the old days he would have typed his ethical dilemma question while nursing broken legs. OP-you should pay. You "borrowed" the money from Stars by depositing with a bank account. It's in the TOS. Small bit of bad news: One of the hot topics raised in a hearing last week was what to do with online gaming sites such as PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker that have been accepting US customers against the government's wishes. Rep. Bacchus proposed an amendment that would block any sites that have been disregarding US laws regarding Internet gambling from obtaining a license. The prohibition for these sites was agreed upon in the Committee and the amendment was passed.

Your question implies that it is right to bargain for principles. Basic American freedom insists that both should be legal. Stop accepting the principles of compromise. That implies that it is ok to get some of what you deserve based on the fact that someone is at least willing to give you that. Freedom=Freedom.

Your bank analogy is not quite correct. What you did is more like walking into your bank, withdrawing, $2000 cash, then walking out of the bank and without looking at the person you thought you were handing the money to, stuck out your hand and said "here ya go Larry" and shoved the money into the pocket of someone named Larrie. As far as full tilt is concerned, they did exactly what you asked them to do. I hope you get your money back, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Sunglasses or not
I always wear them for live play. Not so that people can't read me, they're not usually good enough players for that to matter at the levels that I can afford. I use them so that people will not know when I am watching them.

A frequent situation. Is there anything wrong with the shove here' We were about 60 away from money and my stack was dwindling. No real info on the player in the big blind, just hoping to pick up blinds and antes. Just one of those situations that makes you feel like it is impossible to get lucky. Typically 3% is the rough standard, however they hold 3% from the prize pool for the dealers, so they have, imo, made the point of tipping by the players completely moot, and I am a dealer as well as a player.

kill phil strategy?
It's great as a counter to small ball poker, until you run into a real hand. I can't imaging being a winning player using this strategy. Kill Phil is the worst poker book I've ever read.

My biggest suckout actually did take place on the way to my biggest win. Playing a $26 game on tilt, I got all in with QQ on a AQx flop vs AA and rivered the case Q to win the hand. Ended up finishing 4th for $2200. I've won several tournaments but this 4th is still the largest cash for me. PS- here's hoping the new Casino AZ puts up a better regular tournament than their 30% juice steamers.

Can't use points. I would lose my rakeback . Having said that, I do have the coffee mug, a hoodie, whiskey glasses and a custom jersey. Waited to ask for rakeback until I had all the crap I wanted from the crap store. I don't usually find the sats to be a good deal most of the time, especially the bigger point sats. If you think you have a shot, why not just buy in directly'. Maybe play an $11 sng sat. That's in your bankroll(ish). Or a 2500 point sng sat. These are probably easier than trying to wade through a huge field. GL
