Can you guys help me with this game please? Thanks! good thread warp, i havent got a link for you but i think ur on a good track with this last post.. i cut stealing out of my game for a long time late in tourneys, (apart from all in steals when short), i think partly from playing a lot of steps and sattys and partly because i felt i was just getting caught out too much but there are for def some table dynamics which make it easier, and its definately a big leak not to. The most obvious one is youre the big stack at a deep stacked table- open it up a few times test out your table, in fact any time you feel the dynamics are right this is the ... Play my hand. yep looks like you got lucky mate, if you take this line with any 2, youre calling in the dark every time arent you' as played i do like that you made the call and saw it through and think this 'roper doper strategy' has its place too- especially if the bet sizes are a tell. what did he have btw' q to the pros here' if hes against a steaming big stack whos unlikely to fold the 4k to a 3bet at all (this being a $3) and is likely to spew off 15k with this line 100% the time does daughton have a point and the call pre become optimal to the 3bet' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Sunday "Shot talk" Question? ha just what is this a shot at exactly though' are you talking about a shot of moving up stakes' a shot to me aint any sensible move, its meant to be the sort of game that puts your heart in your mouth every time your moving, and that can floor u with a beat, yeah for sure good bank roll management gives u an edge in a game but you gotta take shots too- theyre good for the soul!' Battle of the blinds in Sunday Mill. like a limp sometimes -why asume matey is pushing back so wide' why not limp and see what he does' you can assume hes gonna be sitting there for a few rounds. i think 55 has won a race once on stars but at a guess its a 90% underdog to any 2 overs there right'. serious though i appeciate the 55 having +ev in this spot, but if hes sitting there waiting to give u his chips why pick a hand so rarely far ahead and so easily beaten' this sounds like a player u dont want to double up! As said, and if u can assume hes going to be pushing back a lot yeah i like the feel of shove or fold. I'd add id ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Live Tourney Final Table Hand i think spash is right and this is dependant on the utg limper and what dynamics hes setting, folding is definately an option and doesnt hurt ur chance of winning as long as u keep up the shoving- of course some days this is an obvious call aswell though especially id be looking to push on the big stacks after folding this seeing the how much of a benefit it is to double off them and keep them vunerable. Deep in daily forty grand - should I have made this call for 2/3 of my stack with AQ? yeah i get that too, i apply it a lot in the steps sattys where once ur doubled, its def better strategy not to take races til your down to last 4 or so even as a favourite, as the 2-3000 is stacks are that valuable and the blinds are going to force better action anyway. i think your massive stack and play so far though is the main reason ur got this action and surely thats a mistake, to snub an edge that no one else is getting, Posted in: Poker Discussion |

on the fence about buying into the 5 million next week either satty in or leave it bud, if the br means that much to you, you wont enjoy it.. personally though id take the steps (2 and 3) and buy in if u cant do that. but thats probably why i have $8 in my account.. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Can I Fold?? has clarkwho folded' what sort of opening range can u give his 1st raise' i guess most of the time id call, in a last 19 dynamic ur looking to build build build and u can easily find em turning up with ak (and smaller pairs on a good day.) i would say this spot u will run into aces or kings a lot of the time though but if im honest it would take some very specific circumstances for me to give someone that much credit. ive developed a self destruct mode on inflection points!? wow. thanks, i had to laugh that one off when i read it earlier coz thats a bit serious but shit in my lunchbox if that aint on the money. (i was thinking it was more like a side effect of getting silly with bigstacks or some crap- like when u start floating alot and you can start to think a lot of calls ur getting are with air) But it could be just the pressure of these points at the moment + no BR + work full time and about to build a house. certainly been feeling the beats alot more.. thanks for the (1) reply, worth 50! =) Posted in: Poker Discussion |

ive developed a self destruct mode on inflection points!? Though i think im adding a lot to my game lately and running deeper alot more often than i used to, ive developed a really bad impulse to do really stoopid shit in my endgame i never used to. Latest examples include been down to 10 in the 20k turbo on stars and callin off most of the 4th biggest stack with k8off just coz i had a 'feeling' the villain was pushing light, or pushing back 12bb in the bb to a button limp with jqoff with 1 waay too passive player left to go in a satty to the turbo takedown. what the hell is that about ' tiredness' lack of focus' its not like i throw it everytime ... Why are people stalling on money bubbles? Stalling on h4h always look stoopid in the brain to me, but the most tilting game i think ive had was a satellite going into h4h with twice the stack of anyone at the table and realising they still using their timebanks to let the blinds go up onthe next guy. Ive never been so pissed from playing as i was when i bubbled out on my blind .. just dirrty! Posted in: Poker Discussion |

a spew and flawed thinking wp sir! i think getting it in on the flop is the best line by far on hands like this, ur a massive favourite over a huge range here. when u miss on the turn ur odds drop right out, and ull find urself in tough spot, and when u hit ur hand is a lot more exposed and it will be a lot harder to get good value oop(against a lot of opponents) Posted in: Poker Discussion |

question about m m is the same obv and as said ur range is a lot wider 6 handed, but also i find its usually right to open up ur pushing sooner, especially if you are short stack by alot, coz ull get called off much quicker at most tables. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

sattied in, 25people to go in warm up, and this, is push on the turn ok or stupid? thanks for the replys, esp about open shoving this many bbs i think that suits my situation well. This did hurt, i satty in through the steps a lot but have no bankroll and i pay for my steps/games direct and cash out every win. ithink this may be my real issue with this hand.. i dont really think it was a mistake as such, as i did have some notion of opening up and taking over my table, but after the hand i felt i was outplayed and mad at missing out on some kind of bankroll. was down to ten seconds, is there a better line i can take? ha, i did kelmann333 but im still not convinced its better. I dont expect a 2nd barrel with nothing from this guy, enough of the time. With tpgk im still vulnerable to a bad turn card, ie aces, sets, 2nd pairs (if im not already behind) and getting out played which is a disaster on a pot this big. Also another reason i prefer the push is for simple table image reasons; playing it this fast makes me much trickier to play against and thats important too. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
