Re:Rush poker mind altering observations Wowowow. Haven't posted in a while but just ended my first Rush poker session last night and need HELP IMMED! I am completely addicted. Everything I have done since--talked to wife, tended to crying kids, eat, sleep, dream, take a dump, etc. has been overshadowed by thoughts of Rush poker. Too bad the rules of RUSH poker couldn't apply to life! If you encounter some bulls#it situation with wife, fam, job, school, just hit a button and it fades into the next scenario! Least productive day ever work-wise but most productive day reading articles, ordering WS Champs gear, downloading pics, etc. Can't wait for tomorrow! I'll be at Citizens Bank park all morning and afternoon loving every minute of it. My only dilemma is deciding whether or not to bring my 3 yr old boy. He absolutely loves the Phils and sat through 4 complete live games this year, but I'm a bit hesitant after what I saw last night down there after the game. The crowd was on their feet from before the first pitch until well after the celebration and was the loudest I've ever heard it. Re:The rays officially lose the world series I actually think Scott Eyre starts Game 5.5 to pitch to Navarro, who has more trouble against lefties, and then Manuel goes to either Durbin or Madsen to pitch to the righties Baldelli and Bartlett. For Tampa, I have to think its gonna be Howell or Price given that most of Phillys ph options are lefties (dobbs, Jenkins, stairs). Obv being too tactical with your key relievers can backfire if this goes extras, but i'm sure both teams will be ready to go to starters as well with Moyer and Shields being the first in line. Re:The rays officially lose the world series Damn right we're going to be pumped and ready to go. This is gonna be awesome from a strategy standpoint. It's gonna be a chess match starting with the first batter, which will be Philly announcing a pinch hitter and the Rays making pitching changes to adjust. I see both teams using the bullpens w/ Phily going to Eyre/Durbin/Madsen for 7 and 8 and then hopefully Lidge with a lead in 9. Rays probably go Price for as long as he can go. On the bright side, game should end by 10pm, which allows all the young kids to potentially experience the celebration and will get me home in time for ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Re:**Official World Series Game 5 Thread** I was at the game last night soaking wet and numb and I'm furious at the way this was handled and explained. I understand Selig's reasoning and 100% agree that the game should be resumed no matter what, but one of two things should have happened... 1.) Play the bottom of the inning and make TB's pitchers and fielders try to deal with the same conditions. At that point, the conditions favored the batters by a huge margin. Pitchers couldn't throw offspeed pitches (Hamels changeup), fielders couldnt pick up the ball--it was horrendous. BUT the conditions were horrendous well ... Posted in: Off Topic |
