Playing with the Big Boys! The competition will be better, you will probably play scared due to higher buy in and more perceived risk, not trying to be a dick just being factual. GL no matter what you do. Posted in: Poker Community |

Why getting a "real" job is important for you and your poker career. LOL, yea 100k per year with benefits, company care, corporate expense account and matching 401k really sucks, the reason you idiots say real jobs suck is due to the fact you can't get one, just a fact. Posted in: Poker Community |

Ex-Professionals that moved on since BF... 1 mill in cashes, and now working for $10 per hour, my assumption that this was a lot of smoke and mirrors was correct. In no way am I bagging on you here but F me, guess the money was never real. Good luck in your new gig Posted in: Poker Community |

Another leak? I feel like I messed up here. Dude you monkey shipped your entire stack into an unraised pot because RICO had a loose/bad image' More importantly what is your image at the table' Your leaving out so much information. And yes 3x pre may induce a reraise or shove or at minimum allow post flop play, if he's holding QK, KJ he pays u off if K hits, but u basically fucked yourself for any potential post flop value. To me this looks like a scared play with AK hoping to force a show down pre flop, in which you could easily be crushed if u get called. And if you are called there with the ship-you are crushed more often then not. ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Any way I can fold this? Actually, you are being results oriented, if he misses turn/river, are you posting wondering if you should have folded' It's a semi puke spot but you have outs to fill up and u did actually make the right decision which is all that should matter. Make good decisions, fuck results. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

What you remember about online poker Favorite Memory: Winning the $3 rebuy on FT Least favorite memory: 10 left in 32k, 4th in chips, laptop crashes, blinded out to 10th. Best things I've done with poker money: Helped down payment on house, bought furniture, spoil wife for letting me degen. Worst thing: Not allocating enough of winnings live or online for real BR management Best poker feeling: Most of my great moments came in live play, like shipping a pot of gold event in reno for $4,000 and running all the old nits over at the final table. Worst poker feeling: All the 2-3 outers deep and left wondering-what might have ... Posted in: Poker Community |

Anyone Else in the US Thinking of Going Back to College Now? If some of you have been out of the work force for years that means employment gap you will have to answer for in an interview and thats assuming you get an interview, it's a heated competitive market now and you will be up against young, hungry, highly educated professionals. Even if you get a degree by the time your 32 33, your options could be seriously limited, this is not being negative but a business fact. The job market is seriously lame, and even with an MBA if you lack work experience thats going to be difficult except for maybe entry level positions. I can only imagine the ... Nut flush draws I'm curious if a lot of you are generally always willing to gamble drawing to nut flush' Guess the question may be an obv yes to some, but I've had interesting discussions with players about these situations and the feedback and mind set from player to player seems to be very different, curious on how you view the scenario Posted in: Poker Discussion |

whats the biggest adrenaline rush you have ever had in poker? Played a $700 buy in live event, made a huge call 4 handed with 55 against an extremely LAG player, he tabled A7, 55 held, and I realized I was guranteed a $10,000 payout and it was quite a rush :) Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Staying Positive.... To many players focus on how they "run" in poker vs. how they are running in LIFE, no matter what happens in the game if you have a stable roof overhead, a career, a woman/man who loves you, beautiful kids and your health, what more could you ask for. The goal is to not let the craziness of poker effect the truly good things in your life. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
