How Did You Get Your Poker Name?
Being in the auto industry in Australia the term "nicked in the head" or "headnicked" means someone has gotten under your skin or messed with your head. I guess this is what I try to achieve on the felt, hence the name... Headnick or Headnicker

I think you played it fine, however I may of shoved on the turn after his C/R but I'm sure there is an arguement to flat as you did also. Either way, don't focus on the result, focus on the process.

Is my calling range too tight?
Average stack was $25k... Fellas, I understand the math now thank-you, however without thinking mathematically, isn't the villain better off waiting for his own chance to shove with basically ATC for blinds and antes rather than calling off his stack and at best flipping with KQ' I mean, as I stated earlier the dynamics of the table were in our favour as we were winning plenty of blinds and antes without a contest (which further justifies his call I know), so there really isn't a need here for him to call. I just need to know his line of thinking or is there no line and he has made the call ...

Thanks for the responses guys, but correct me if I am wrong, isn't better to be the aggressor preflop rather than the caller' And isn't it better to take down the blinds / antes without a contest' Believe me, I was happy to get my money in against his guy with AJ, but considering the table was fairly fold-happy (we were on a pay-jump bubble I'm sorry I didn't mention) there really wasn't a reason for him to look me up in this spot because if I wasn't taking the blinds he certainly was. I was in a tourney last night and this hand went down... stars $75 buy in $12.k guarantee turbo Blinds 1000/2000 ante 200 (pot 4400) BTN hero: $19.5k AJs shoves pre BB Villain: $23k KQos calls Admittedly I was fairly actively raising Pre (PFR% was around 25% at this point), as was the villain who had also called off a few shoves fairly light previously, so I knew I could only shove on him with a fairly tight range. I am trying not to be results focused here as I lose this hand and was knocked out, however I am trying to understand if his call was +EV' I mean, his hand is obviously good ...

Limping toward the end of a tourney?
I personally do not limp EVER but this thread has got me thinking at least. I do not see a reason why you would not use a limping strategy late to mix up your play and confuse your opponents, particular in a deep stack tourney. There is no standard line in poker these days, it is all about making adjustments relative to the table dynamics. Bring back the limp IMO!!!

I am off Full Tilt for good - Who is coming with me?
Just came back on to review old posts and dug this up. This post is not an "I told you so", however considering the fact FTP support were not responding to my emails, do you think this was a sign of things to come' FWIW I am an Australian who went back on and deposited in May and have since had my funds seized like everyone else. I only had just over $1k on there which is small change compared to many others I am sure. I really do think we can kiss our funds goodbye...:(

Full Tilt gaming license suspended
I am an Australian and I can't believe I am admitting this but I feel like the biggest douche of all. I know a ftp Pro and asked him a week after Black Friday if Aussie players were next and he said he is not sure, but recommended I withdraw all of my funds from the site. I did this and after a month of watching all of the soft Rush Poker action I decided I just had to deposit and play again. Now I can kiss my $$$ goodbye.:(

Non- US FTP Players - Have we lost our money too?
I am an Australian who just tried to log on to ftp and could not connect, and came on here to find out that the site is shut down. Does this mean all Non-US players are in the same boat as US players' Our money is locked up with no clue on when we can withdraw' If this is true I am seriously pissed, more at myself than anything, as I know a ftp Pro who advised me to withdraw my funds not long after Black Friday as he anticipated Australian players would be next, not to mention I was hating on ftp big time prior to Black Friday as I was having serious software issues and receiving very ...

LCD TV Sound Issues
Hi all, I have a Samsung LED TV which I have connected to my PC (I run Windows) as monitior. I do not have a problem with sound on youtube etc but I get no sound whatsoever when I log on to play on Pokerstars or Full Tilt. I have connected an expensive HDMI cable and the vision is great, however I need sound alerts etc as I often Multi-Table whilst playing. Has anyone got any suggestions as to how I can rectify this problem' Head...

In light of recent events I have decided to withdraw all of my $$$ off Stars and Tilt (hopefully I receive it all) with the view that these sites will not be operational again any time soon. It is not illegal for Australians to play online poker so I was after suggestions on the best sites (non-U.S sites) to play SNG's and cash games' What sites would have the highest volume of players so I am not sitting around forever waiting for players to register etc'
